[font=tahoma, geneva, sans-serif][size=4]I am a single mother of 2 beautiful kids. I have spent majority of my life struggling with my weight. Lose some, gain more back. It has been a difficult struggle for me and I have been through every stage of fatness...shame, depression, self-loathing, weakness, failure, and finally desperation. With a dysfunctional upbringing and low self esteem I found that food became a secret comfort zone. :unsure: I would hide food to secretly have happiness, and then as I grew more self conscious with my weight gain, turned to binge eating and eventually purging. :( NOT HEALTHY right? Right! So after losing my gallbladder at 22, I began struggling with getting healthy. Difficult when the major people in your life are your biggest enablers and/or sabatours. I had successful weight loss twice in my life - once lasting 2 yrs and this most recent lasted about 1 1/2 yrs. both were medically monitored. However, other conditions arose and I not only gained back the weight I had shed, but +20lbs in half the time! Feeling discouraged and disgusted at the same time, :blink: I seriuously considered bariatric surgery. So, here I am, post VSG surgery, 6wks in and 15lbs already gone! I'm walking daily (slow start at 20min/day) and trying to get a grip on the new eating plan. I'm liking the meal ideas, but having a hard time cutting out carbs - rice, bread, pasta are my weakness!!! I'm looking forward to my new healthy lifestyle and this procedure was my kickstart to a great new me! :D [/size][/font]
