33 BMI and scheduled for VG...
peggers6 replied to Didit12262012's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I have a semi low BMI, I cannot lose any weight during my preop, still following NUT diet though to maintain in a healthy manner. I am with WTgirl,I have lost the weight, gained it back, plus more. I was thin most of my life. I just can't do this to myself anymore. Out of control eating, being much heavier and growing ,and health issues creeping in.These are the reasons I am using this as my tool, I know I can stick to a diet if I have some support, and I WANT this so badly!! -
Good for you, you look GREAT!!!!

Everything is taking SOOOOO long!
peggers6 replied to petra1124's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have been to an informational seminar lead by my surgeon, and have met with him once. I have to see NUT every month for6 months, go into DR. office monthly ,attend monthly support groups(and a year after), have a ultrasound of my liver, endoscopy and pscyh eval(half done). ALL of this is for INSURANCE ..SO I think you are just being put into the process by meeting with NUT. It will be worth it!! -
Sick leave vs Vacation leave
peggers6 replied to MK1986's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi, just wanted to comment on the poster who said her boss would look up DR. I guess she could do that, but according to HIPPA, you have to only file paperwork thru your HR dept. NONE of that info is open to anyone. Even if you normally provide info to someone in your dept, I believe legally you can send to HR, and then they just notify your dept that you have LEGAL reason to be out. Hope this info helps. HIPPA VIOLATIONS ARE REALLY A BIG DEAL NOW. -

I am just now starting a few, will add more in the future. I REALLY want to do this correctly, so a few now and a few in the future. No soda, changed to s salad plate, no water with meals, doing half decaf, half reg coffee. I work at night, so the coffee if a tough one. Good luck everyone..remember small steps:) -
