    Best walking or running shoes?

Truly depends on your foot and how you place your feet when running. It's worth going to a running specialty store. Brooks is a good running shoe but you need the right fit. Good Luck

    February Sleevers

First stall this week. Down exactly 40 lbs since being sleeved on 2/26. I refuse to weigh myself more than once a week. Not panicking yet. We'll see what next week brings. My clothes are fitting diffe even though the scale didn't move.

    Does Anyone Else Hate Eating?

  7. AprilKeepingItOff

    Sad sad realization.....

While I can't say food no longer makes me happy, I am not nearly as excited about food or preparing meals as I once was. Now it seems like way too much goes into making a delicious meal to only be able to eat a tiny amount of it. Why order out and have the food sit in my fridge for days only to throw away most of it. Feels like a huge waste of money. I am no one to give up on enjoying preparing and eating food. I'm 19 days post op and down 30 lbs so far. Here's to you getting back to happy about food in a healthy way and to me re-discovering the joy of cooking and eating. We can do this!
  8. Through trial and error, I hope I've experiences the last of my last 30 minute bathroom runs (pun intended) Lactose Intolerance is no laughing matter. What was mildly inconvenient pre-op became a post-op nightmare for me. However, there is a glimmer of light at the end of my DFPW tunnel. I tried a number of Protein powders once I realized that whey Protein was not my friend. Although, I had no difficulty at all with the GNC Pro Performance Amplified Whey Protein powder pre op, it turned my life upside down post op to the point that my surgeon has me going for labs to rule out more serious issues. I'm having success with: Jay Robb Egg White Protein in vanilla and chocolate.(strawberry isn't very good) I use either Water or unsweetened Coconut, Almond and Chia Drink (Dream Blends) 165 cal, 5 carbs, 25 g protein (slightly lower with water) Thanks to Whole Foods, I got to sample before purchasing Vega One Vanilla Chai and Chocolate aIl-in-one nutritional shake. The Vanilla Chai is good with water but I'm gonna use the Dream Blends with it later today. The chocolate I sampled was made with Coconut milk and it was also tolerable. The Vega w/ Dream Blends 182 cal 12 carbs, 15g protein. Still using Isopure Zero Carb mixed with G2 or Powerade Zero to get in more protein and fluids during the day. Fingers Crossed!

    How much protein?

Bit the bullet, tried Isopure Zero Carb

I use Isopure as well. It's not all that bad and I agree its a hate it or love it thing with all of these products. Your Fluid tracking system is great! Do whatever works for you. I just might try it myself

    Grumpy tummy...

I sure hope so. I'm about 2 weeks out too and the grumpy bubbly tummy is getting a little bit old.

    I hate to admit it

You are not alone Amy. Hang in there. I'm a new post op too and I've been so exhausted and sad at times it surprised me because I really wanted this surgery. I'm praying my way through my rough days and will pray for you as well.
