Good call Mama!

Wow! Your NUT is opposed to Premier Protein, but caffeinated flavored coffee is okay? You're totally right in pointing out how different each doc/program is - that is wild!

Can you do IsoPure, Sleeping B?

I did a YouTube video about how something similar happened to me - I think I titled it "Read the Labels" - I felt so silly! -
Did I mess up 5 days out of VSG ate some non liquid protine?
VSGKirk replied to taterroper's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
In response to your question. Yes, you messed up. Should you beat yourself up? No. Just please please please follow your surgeon's advice and don't rush this process. They know what they are doing and are giving you the tools to recover safely and be successful. -

I barfed tonight for the 1st time...
VSGKirk posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Not fun - wow, just goes to show that after 9 weeks, I've still got a lot to learn! I didn't wait long enough between meals (was flying all day today and didn't get much protein), so I was trying to make up for it tonight. Lesson learned! -
Is the sleeve the first surgery for anyone?
VSGKirk replied to Colemon70's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
VSG was my first surgical experience as well. I was nervous, but what helped is that I was the 1st surgery of the day, so the pre-op process was such a blur. The staff always kept me informed throughout the process and before I knew it I jumped on the O.R. table and was out in less than 10 seconds. The next thing I remember is them telling me that I was a done. I was so happy, I couldn't stop smiling. I had to peek inside my gown just to make sure they did something because I didn't feel any different. -

I ate about 2 oz of beef around 9:30pm and then ate 2 oz of chicken an hour later - yep, within seconds I knew we had a problem - the chicken came right up. I guess I don't have to count it on myfitnesspal now... -
Are you wearing a pain pump thing? Someone else reported the same symptom.

I told my boss and now I'm upset!
VSGKirk replied to MK1986's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I told everyone that would listen because I was only taking 5 days off and I wanted them to know why I might not be "myself" when I got back. I'm lucky though, everyone is 1000% supportive. I know, it's an exception, but it's why I chose my employer. I hope you work something out with them OP. -

KatiKati - you are very cute (love the dimples!), you just have to understand Laura is a man-stealer...she can't help it...cross addiction...you know, ooh, touchy subject...awkward!
-
KatiKati, Dean is right on the pureed chili too - saved me - could eat very little and be fully satiated! Made it myself to control the spiciness. Threw it in the crockpot overnight and had meals for a few weeks!
-
I don't want to get in trouble and take us off topic, so let me figure out of a way to say this... WOW Laura! You look better than a bowl of pureed meat & beans!!! Do you have room for 2 gays (well, 2.5 if you count Dean) in your posse? Great new pic!!! And thanks Dean!
-
I measured out 1/4 cup and yep, that was almost exactly right - felt full, no discomfort but knew 1 more bite would have put me over the edge. Btw, I pureed ground beef with mine, so it was not 100% beans.

2 weeks post op still have lots of intestine pain and miss eating
VSGKirk replied to FatMamaw's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Not the greatest news - sorry Is there something/someone you can turn to for comfort? food will just make you more miserable physically/mentally and frankly, 2 weeks out - dangerous. Hang in there and if nothing else - face this, you might be stronger than you think! -
13 Ideas to Help Your VSG Journey
VSGKirk replied to Success2013's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
14. Maintain a sense of humor. You are still alive after all and laughter burns calories (not sure if my FitBit will count it, but hey...) -
Mastiff Mama - you left all that guilt and shame in the biohazard bag with your old stomach. Leave it there! Do something proactive now. Today. Take control, reach out to a professional and take charge. YOU'VE GOT THIS! You are just as deserving of success as anyone on here and start really believing that. You won't be able to ignore your strong impulses to eat bad things, but you can learn to be aware of them and make new choices. I know you can do this! It's not comfortable, relapsing into guilt and shame is your familiar place. But guess what - the new you is going to feel SO MUCH BETTER!
