Dr. Kuhn is good. He is very attentive. His staff are a little slow, but I guess this is vacation time for a lot of people. I have had a few co-workers that have used him and have nothing but rave things to say about him.

I heard that Dr. Nick is an awesome Dr. You should do great with him, pluse almost 99.9 % of his reviews have been a perfect score. Most of the dislikes I have read about him were not for him per se, but were about the associate PA's or the staff in his office relating to wait time in the office.

I am so excited, and yet so ready to get this over with. I feel like I am ready to start my new life and be slimmer and healthier, but time is not excited with me, lol Anybody started getting your SF popsicles, clear liquids, and protein shakes/powders, and gas strips.. etc....??

I see you are doing yours in dallas. May I ask what doctor will you use? I am using Dr. Kuhn and my date is Aug. 19th at BUMC.

@ sweetmom21, It wasn't behind the insurance thank God. It was first a miscomunication between the scheduler and the Doctor because it was scheduled while the Doctor would be in meetings or something like that so it was pushed back a week. Then something happened with the Doctor and he had to reschedule all of his July surgeries in order to have a procedure done on himself or so I am told. So I have gone through the up and down part and really just want to get this over and done.

What did your pre op diet consist of if I may ask? Dr. Kuhn is also my surgeon and my day is 8/19/13

I will have mine on the 19th as well. I was originally scheduled for the 22nd of July, then it was changed to the 29th, and then again to the 19th of Aug! Hopefully I wont have anymore setbacks, although the two I had were not of my own doing. I am having mine done in Dallas, Tx by Dr. Kuhn.

Hey ElaineB. That will be great to keep in touch! I am on FB and yahoo. let me know what you prefer. I just found out yesterday that my surgery has been rescheduled to August 19th now! It has been moved twice now since my last post, so I am beyond ready to get this over with. My pre op diet is to start with protein rich full liquids for one week, and then on the second week it will be protein rich clear liquids to follow for a total of two weeks liquids.

Ok, again I have to repost a setback! My surgery is now rescheduled for August 19th because my surgeon ended up having to have a procedure done, and had to either reschedule all of his July surgeries to other months or refer them to other surgeons. so...... Back to the drawing board for me. I have everything on my end secured, now waiting on the surgeon to recover.

Congrats to you all, I am on for the 29th, and yes I am so ready to be the smoking hot mama in the red and white santa's helper come get me dress and heels! (for my husband of course!) Counting down the days already.

My official date of surgery is July 29th now. It was on the 22nd, but there was a little miscommunication between the scheduling clerk and the Dr. secretary. Its cool, I will still be in July. I have already given the Dr. my deposit and now I have to pay the hospital a percentage when I do my pre-op appointment. I am going to enjoy a wonderful forth of July weekend with my family filled with swimming, movies, food, and fireworks! Enjoy your 4th everyone! Any people in the Dallas,Texas area? I need a great cheerleader, and I will be a great cheerleader for you!

I am glad that you are on your new journey to slimness, and am hoping that you heal quickly and what you are experiencing now will be a faint memory when you are shopping down the road.

Ok, somebody please tell me that I am not the only one experiencing this craving for all of my favorite foods, and savoring each morsel like it is the last time I will ever eat it again! Example: in a span of 2 weeks I have purchased or cooked, cakes, burgers, pizza, hot links, tamales, tea cakes, fried foods from every area, and alchololic beverages that I know that I don't really need or want! My husband and children have been in hog heaven, but I think I am having a food meltdown! my Surgery is on the 29th and I have not even begun to do the liquid diet. I hate to admit this, but I ate a whole thin crust pepperoni/pineapple medium pizza the other day with the kids,(I paid for it that night while trying to sleep), but I ate it with an emotion like if I was about to say goodbye to a dying relative! That can't be a good sign!
