It is removed, but your stomach adapts and that feeling will usually come back. -
New Whey Liquid Protein Shots... Good or Bad?
slimmingdani replied to Sleevestriss's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The hairloss is unavoidable according to my surgeon and NUT, I was on top of taking my Vitamins and hitting my daily protein goals but it still starting falling out at around 3 months. I'm 6 months out now and it has stopped falling out. I can't really see regrowth yet but I'm sure it'll take a little longer to notice that. I wouldn't worry about it too much since you have thick hair I doubt it'll be noticeable to anyone but you -
My 6 month surgiversary was yesterday and I'm 67 lbs down since surgery! I've been losing slower than a lot of people on here but as long as its still coming off I'm happy. I only have 39 more lbs till I hit onederland and I'm giving it my all to get there. Im so glad I had this surgery, it really does change your life.

The famous question- Alcohol?
slimmingdani replied to laurasjourney's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My birthday was a month and a few days after my surgery and I sipped on a drink at dinner. I was totally fine, but one drink lasted way longer than before. I'm 6 months out now and still losing with no complications so nothing came of it. -
I think it varies person to person, for me I didn't notice any difference between drinking pre-op and drinking post-op aside from not being able to drink as much at once.

They don't replace a tummy tuck, you will lose inches but it's only temporary.

Pain with surgery, what can I expect?

Exactly!

It's a wrap of either cloth or seran wrap type material that has usually herbs or minerals on it that's supposed to help 'breakdown' the fat cells under the skin by detoxifying you. Essentially though, it just rids you of excess water, so you will see results (tighter skin and a loss of inches) but it's certainly only temporary. It should last a few days, maybe even a week or so but it's not going to permanently get rid of those inches. It's more like a spray tan, looks good for awhile but fades away unless you continually have it done.

Is the sleeve the first surgery for anyone?
slimmingdani replied to Colemon70's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It was my first surgery, and I was soo scared too. I almost cried waiting in the pre-op room while they were getting me ready, but I didn't. It was alot easier than I was expecting. The biggest thing that I wasn't expecting is when you first wake up your chest feels very heavy and you can't take very deep breaths. Other than that I pretty much expected everything. I'm sure you'll do great and goodluck! -
Do you have any comorbodities? I definitely don't think it would be too much of a problem if you did. I was sleeved through kaiser SoCal as well, although I didnt have to go through the options program my surgeon did ask me to lose weight the month prior to my surgery and I was only able to lose 7 and he was happy with it. I think you'll be okay.
