Anyone on Birth Control?

I'm on nuvaring and LOVE it! -
Ok, so I'm on a Medicaid managed plan with united healthcare in NY. They mandate a 6 month preop diet. I started January, so my last weigh in is beginning of June, and I can probably be sleeved by July. My only issue is I have to re-certify for Medicaid in may. My husband recently got a new job and makes 4x his old salary so there is NO WAY we will be eligible for Medicaid again. I know there is a Family Health Plus policy that works on a sliding scale, so even if its not free we will still have coverage. So my question is, does anyone have experience with this? Do they approve you fast enough that there isn't a gap in my insurance? I want this surgery soooo bad and I feel like I've done so much, I don't want my efforts to go to waste. Sorry this is probably half vent, half advice. I'm just super frustrated and worried.

Couple of random questions..

I'm still about 3 months pre-op, but I've been researching for over a year. I've pretty much wrapped my head around the diet (pre and post op), the technicalities of the surgery, and how huge of a change this will be. After reading around here I have a few questions.. (I did search some of my questions but didn't get anything really) 1. Is it comparable to a csection (pain wise)?I've had 2. 2. Does everyone have to swallow that stuff for the leak test? I heard it was beyond disgusting 3. Do nausea meds really work? I have a serious phobia of vomit (so bad, that I've had to call my mom to come over and clean my son's vomit because my husband was working). This is causing me SO much anxiety. I have a very high tolerance for incision pain, but NOT nausea. It will actually throw me into a panic attack if I think I might throw up. Please give me your experiences or advice!! Thanks Edit: and If anyone has similar stats as me I'd like to hear your experience too!! I'm 5'3" 280lbs.

Was it like a golf ball sized meatball? Or like the baseball sized ones? Lol

For either the clear liquid or full liquid part of the diet. I make home made chicken broth with water, chicken, onion, carrot, parsnip, dill, and a pinch of salt. If I strained all of the chunks out I'm assuming I could use it for my clear liquid diet. Then for full liquid just purée up the veggies and chicken in the broth. Would that count for protein? Calories? How much?

Oh, and have you had an issue with skin? Losing so much so fast, or has being young helped? -

Thanks everyone! Like I said, I can handle pain. After my csections I never took anything more then Motrin. It's good to know that the nausea meds work. That's what's scaring me the most. I know long term I won't regret this, so whatever I have to do ill do! -
one hit wonder;;

Did everyone hve to give up caffiene?
JessicaAnn posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is what I'm dreading. I'll admit, I'm a caffeine addict. I drink maybe 2-6 cups a day, plus a few diet sodas. I need since I sleep horribly. Did everyone have to give up caffeine? I only had to see my nutritionist once, and he's so anti surgery that he was being an ass during the whole thing so he didn't tell me. -

Oh I'll definitely do what I'm told, even if that means giving it up forever! I'm just not looking forward to the withdrawal migraines and having no energy. -
