I'll try and scrounge up the courage to tell him. I. Just so embarrassed being this heavy and only 23! Having 2 kids in 2 years (and bad pod after each) really screwed my body up! But i know it's my own fault and I have to take control!

I know this time next year ill be a new person, but I hate the person I am now, and I hate how I'm treating my husband because of my lack of self esteem.
-
Thanks, I'm definitely not doing the food funeral, I actually just started Atkins shakes for Breakfast and lunch and a regular dinner (low carb). My husband just bought me a George Forman grill so I've been obsessed with grilling chicken and steaks lol.

2 month surgiversay and down 44 pounds since surgery
JessicaAnn replied to Nicole Chavez's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Wow you look fantastic! I'm still pre op but I have the same exact stats. I'm 5'3" and weigh 285lb. I also have the same body type. How is your skin holding up as far as looseness? You look young too (I'm 23) so I was just wondering. -
Did anyone need to lose 200+ lbs?

I have to lose about 160 so I'm looking forward to see other answers! -
Recipe ideas for the puree stage...
JessicaAnn replied to kc82's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
How does purée chicken taste? I'm a texture freak and keep thinking of my son's baby food and how gross it smelled/looked -
I guess it depends on te doctor. I know my doc does some test during preop blood work the week of surgery and will postpone the surgery if it shows you still have the chemicals in your body
-
I know my doc requires quitting 2 months before surgery. Not to preach, but if you can go a few months without it, why go back to smoking?

Is it something they don't see until they're in there? Can it been seen by an endoscopy? What are the symptoms? I've had a lot of gastro issues for about 10 years and no one can pin point the issue. Wondering if maybe it's a hernia that's been unseen.
-
That's the age I got it. I had an ulcer when I was 11, these symptoms started shortly after. Are there meds to manage it? I've tried almost all ppi's on the market and none work
-
-
No I'm pre op. I've had csections, but obviously they wouldn't see it then.
-
I though maybe it could be a hernia that's been missed
-
Oh ok, because I've had chronic heartburn, diarrhea and gas for over 10 years. All tests come back fine and normal
-
Did you have symptoms that's you wrote off as something else that was really caused by the hernia?
-
This is good to hear. I've had two csections, one being an emergency where they cut me pretty hastily.
-
Don't have anything to add because I'm pre op, but just reading through the titles of the threads, I stopped on yours and thought this was about a "male problem" lol

My mother in law and father in law both got the band. They never lost more then 20-30lbs and they are constantly puking. They also say that the "good foods" are the ones that often get stuck while the crappy, unhealthy stuff slides right down.

7 months post-op - Return of the HUNGER!
JessicaAnn replied to LawDiva312's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Maybe you need a different one? I've read here that some people need to change their ppi. I know protonix is a common one that's a little stronger then Prevacid. I'm on protonix now, but I'm still pre op -

Are you on a ppi?
