Recovering alone?
JessicaAnn replied to JessicaAnn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That's probably what I'll do. My husband is home at night so he can always do bath/bed time. I guess we can eat "picnic" style so I don't have to put him in his highchair. -
Help please i dont know what to do anymore. Does anyone else has this problem?

Do you qualify for state aid? Like for insurance? Don't be embarrassed to receive state help. I'm in Ny, and I know they could help you with everything like medical, food, housing, and even jobs! Do some research for your state, or let me know what state your in and I'll look it up and post some links. -

This is what she thinks we should do. She's only in her early 50's so she's a young granny lol, but I just feel bad looking at the baby and not picking him up.. -

Call your surgeon. Excessive vomiting isn't normal. In my surgeons paperwork, he says its not normal to vomit more then 3 times a week. -

But, the one year old can walk and climb the couch.. It's really just in and out of the crib and highchair that he would need lifting -

That's what I'm thinking. My 3.5 year old is very self sufficient, but the one year old is needy. -

My doctor said purée is anything that has the consistency of dip. So purée chicken salad with mayo, or chicken with broth, beef with beef broth, veggies with broth, egg and mayo, cream soups blended and strained, yogurt, purée cottage cheese.. -

JessicaAnn replied to thetattooedlady's topic in Pre-op Diets and Questions
My surgery date is July 3rd! I've thought of starting early, but that seems like an awfully long time. Especially since we will also be on liquids 6 weeks post op (well, I will). But that's awesome if you can do it! -

Vomiting isn't normal unless your eating too much too fast. If not those reasons, definitely call your surgeon, it may me a stricture -
Finally got a tentative date of July 3rd! So excited! I got all my info and my pre op 2 week diet includes 4 meal replacement shakes (NOT just protein shakes) per day. The ones that my surgeon sells are $200 for a 2 week supply! I know that pure protein and premier protein are just protein, and not meal replacement. Any suggestion?
