3weeks post op. What to eat?
JessicaAnn replied to Melanie757's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 3 weeks and on most regular foods. I eat chicken from my crock pot, meatballs, meatloaf, turkey burgers, cheeses, deli meats, veggie sausage with melted cheese, scrambles eggs with cheese and salsa, guacamole, etc.. Edit: I'm eating everything that was approved from my surgeon. He progressed me at my last check up . I'd suggest to do what your surgeon says. -

Dealing with dinner on vacation
JessicaAnn replied to Shoota's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well, I don't know how open you are about your surgery, but what I do is when I ordered, I asked them for a take out container and explained that I can't eat much. When my meal came out I packed up all but what I knew I'd eat and took the rest home. -

Normal foods at 4wks post op!
JessicaAnn replied to lyd83's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Your doc told you to do that? I mean, I'm released to all protein/veggies (except raw) at 4 weeks too, but still no fruit or carbs till almost goal weight -
I have severe sinus tachycardia so for me, I can get that high often, but it can definitely be from the stress of surgery and your whole body trying to readjust.

I have a very personal question!
JessicaAnn replied to djsacco's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Same here. I have zero interest. But since surgery my husband and I have been having issues, so that could be part of it too. -

Estimated caloric intake BEFORE and AFTER surgery?
JessicaAnn replied to Reigo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 2.5 weeks out and even though my nut said to only count protein/water and not calories, I still track and take in about 500-700 calories per day. Before surgery, I'm assuming I took in 3,000+. -
Before and After Pics

Amazing!! I remember when I first joined this site, you were either just sleeved, or just before you we're sleeved, and I've been following your journey! We were the same starting weight. I'm only 2.5 weeks out, but I hope to have the kind of success that you've had! -
I must have read 100 posts like this when I was pre op, but its so different once your on the other side. I'm 2.5 weeks post op and moved on to soft foods. I lost 22lbs the first week and a half, and nothing in 6 days. I'm always hungry. I measure all of my foods, and eat the kind of foods I'm supposed to, but it seems to be a lot more then most at this stage. I can eat 4oz at a time and not be full, and I get hungry in between meals. I try not to graze, but sometimes the hunger gets me and I'll have a piece of cheese, or a small bit of yogurt. I'm getting in all of my Protein, and drinking 70+oz per day. I track everything and eat 500-700 calories a day easily. It doesn't help that I seem to have the "sleeve of steel" and nothing bothers me. Sorry for the vent, I'm just feeling a bit discouraged today.

Any Long Island, NY sleevers?
JessicaAnn replied to laurasjourney's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Awesome! I never felt any pain, never even used my pain pump in the hospital or filled my prescription. I've been back to my stay at home mom duties since day 3! The hardest part has been my mental battle with trying to overcome my food addiction. -
Thanks everyone! My doctor said I'm only allowed to walk, no other working out yet, so I've been walking a lot. And proudgrammy, I don't actually eat 4 oz of cheese lol! But my meal plan says 2-3 oz of protein with 1.5-2 oz of veggie per meal. So if I eat 3 oz of chopped up chicken salad with 1.5 oz of really soft broccoli, that's what I meant

I don't think it would be bad unless your drinking straight lemons or lemon juice. Then, I'd worry about the acid, but if its diluted in water or squeezed over food then I don't see an issue.
