I'm from Beaumont being sleeved in Conroe in 3DAYS!! You?!

I'm currently on my pre op diet and it requires 2 shakes a day. 1 regular and 1 with fruit. chocolate chilke is what I bought from my surgeons office, the can says to mix with milk or Water but says nothing about blending with ice. Is it okay to blend mine with ice? I have to use it to blend my fruit too!!

Im located in beaumont texas but im willing and wanting to get my surgery in houston. I have BCBS ins. but im near positive my plan does not cover bariatric surgery. I am ready to do self pay with cash. Please help me find a surgeon near houston who is reasonable with price and is great! Any advice will help! Thank you!!

Okay so tomorrow I start eating purée foods! I would like some ideas of what you ate that week! recipes?! Suggestions please!

Starting "regular foods" on Monday. I'm still real sacred to eat! What are some foods you starting eating that were healthy and easy on the stomach? How many oz cal?? Also what's your drinking to eating rule? 30minutes? Advice/suggestions please!! Thanks!

Tomorrow is the big day! Surgery is at 6:30am, have to be there at 5! I live 2 hrs away so I will be getting up at 2am! Eek! The nerves are just starting to set in, but I just keep thinking about 6 months down the road!! Can't wait to start posting result pictures! You are all so inspiring! Wish me luck!

Tired of mashed potatoes and thick soup! Any other suggestions?

So I have now lost 36lbs since my pre-op diet and 23lbs since day of surgery and I'm 10 days post op. Well I tried on a pair of my "tight jeans"..and they were still tight!! I became so frustrated. Also frustrated that all I have eaten in 2 weeks is broth and sf Popsicles. Even thicker Soups hurt my stomach. I just want to fast forward 6 months I'm so tired of feeling like this! Please tell me it gets better. No to mention my family has been saying "wow I can really tell you've lost in your chest" boobs were the first to go ;(( Sorry for the vent, at least y'all may understand.

Awh you should still try it. Everyone is different. I think it just shocked my stomach because I've only been eating Soup. I feel better now just my stomach is bubbly!

Just ate a few bites of ricotta bake, recipe I found on here and I feel very sick to my stomach, anything I can do to help my self from throwing up?! I'm still sore I can't imagine the pain of committing

Yeah, I tried to eat applesauce and it makes me very crampy. I'm drinking some soup but I'm scared I'm going to drink too much. How much do you consume at one time. I think I'm paranoid about how much! Also how are you doing on liquids? I can't seem to drink more than 16oz I know that's horrible.

So today I started puréed food, this morning I started off with some apple sauce. Every time I take a bite it hurts my chest and stomach. Is this normal? How long will it last? Also how often and how much did you eat on purée? Thanks for all the help!!

This may sound like an absolutely stupid question but is is considered puréed after its cooked or do you purée it?

Okay so tomorrow I go on puréed foods and my biggest fear is since I will be eating actual food with carbs and calories (not clear liquid) is that I will gain weight. I'm on day 6 and I have lost 18 lbs since I left the hospital! I'm shocked too! Anyone else feels this way or have advice?

Hello! I did not use doctor yu, but I used doctor Richard collier in Conroe! He was amazing! I was self pay also! For self pay patients paying cash is 12k and that includes everything, hospital stay ect. He also officers financing but it is 13k if you finance. He has the nicest and sweeting team of staff ever and he is so well mannered and informative. My first appointment with him lasted two hrs and he went through the whole procedure step by step!! You should really look him up! I was up walking hrs after surgery! Also he has done over 10 thousand procedures and never had a death or even a leak!!! Can we put Neosporin or anything on them to help them heal faster/better?

I am also having issues with my big one. It's red around and itches. It's also very sore to the touch!
