So am I , I was sleeved on the 20 and I made sure I had all the sugar free stuff ready. Clear liquids so I also had the sugar free tropical pops, beef , chicken, vegetable, broth, I baby food also different types (ofcourse banana is the one that has sugar) also I have sugar free snack well pudding In Chocolate nd vanilla flavor also chobani Greek or vanilla yogurt.no fruit at the bottom . I have learned thru my doctor and other people on this site that every doctor has a different program set up for there patients. So make sure these things are allowed. Don't forget the jello sugar free in all flavors that's available

Yeah It still hurts ! I could not sleep on my left side further more I still have this pain. I walked and walked this morning and its still there now I'm having stomach pain. I hope this goes away.

Ask them for a nausea pill(goes under tongue) I to was sleeved yesterday n the team I had provided me with everything including that pill . U will be fine

It's all done . I prepared for the worse but I swear I am completely fine. The only thing is I can't drink yet cause I need to take some type of test this morning. But over all I thought his would be worse and I feel great I have been walking and walking just to get the stomach moving and gas. I'm almost scared because all I feel is my stomach sore. But I must say the fucked up part is that I was put in a room with someone who can eat and this is not only a bariatric floor and boy she was eating her butt away at dinner and just chewing snacks in the night and asking the doctors At 1am to heat up her brownie . Seriously lady go to bed . Is it normal for ur stomach to be swollen like if u are prego ?

Omg ! I have not had anything not even ice chips because they said I need to do test today . I thought I was only one with this hard rock feeling. I wish I had that sip ! I figured that was it also but wat ever. Ill wait for my doctor . FYI this catheter is the worst. Hope things are going well for you and u recover great

I just would like to ask everyone what are steps that I can prepare tonight for my hospital stay. I will be in hospital Tull Saturday so besides phone and ipad . What can I bring to make my stay easy or do ? This is me on you left one year ago and I was 215 there. Weight can be trick to people's eyes. The right I me one month ago at 276! All for the better ! Hi , Let me start off by saying I have not been sleeved yet but I will be Wednesday ! Sharing my experience . Prior to this surgery u have used everything in the book n my it works applicator wrap n the gel was one thing I also tried ! I do not look my weight my stomach is flat and Probly has a tiny little pouch . So me believing everything in the market I tried this . First of all they make u become a member to get the cheaper price with 3 months of automatic deduction from ur bank ( or u can also buy one time at a very expensive price ) then they sell u a little package pills that are "herbal" all natural a couple of things then the wraps and gel etc . When I received that wrap omg its like paper. It does not cover jack on your stomach its like for someone very skinny there is only one size . Also this is just like an illusion that u are smaller . Temp! We do this surgery to stay away from things like this (taking horse pills ) and my truthful advice would be to exercise. The. The best part they assign u a coach which is the person who is there to sell u product either over phone , and gets a cut of the money to sell u products and they usually never care. No support system nothing. I might even have a wrap or two left I can Prob send u so u can see for ur self I def have the pills also . Gross

O my god not liquor ! I Prob sound like an alchie.. Lol . That's funny cause my bf said the same thing . He goes you will never drink that Hennessy again lol. But I mean just liquids in general like that's my biggest fear. I love to drink fluids that's Probly why my ass gained half this weight in a matter of one year ! But seriously I love water n juice not to much of a soda drinker . So I don't want to not be able to drink my water with lemon or drink period ! I don't know if its a panic thing I'm going thru or wat but watever

I'm the 20 so I feel the Same way ! I have a mixed set of emotions and Im just patiently waiting cause I really think that we are here for one reason and one reason only TO BR HEALTHY! My fear is that I won't be able to drink ( sounds weird right) but it is . We must maintain a positive outlook and just support each other . You will do great after the procedure .

Prior to your surgery u will loose a few lbs. I'm pretty sure u know the drill being u had the lap band . However I have not done the sleeve yet my day is 2/20(yay) and I know someone who was in ur same position who the band was unsuccessful and they did the sleeve she is 140 now in one year and a half and was pre op was 296! I think that this all depends on how much effort u put in to post op. if u do everything right u will have great results. Alot of questions you have about the surgery u can just scroll and see in this form. Believe me as much as I was told by doctors after doctor there is nothing better then hearing from people who have already an are preparing for this drastic change. Look thru all the sections that there are so many questions you can get answers by just reading here! Hope ur journey starts off great

My date the 21 my weight 277,my height the 5'6. I recently gained all this weight like in the past year . So I'm not use to it but however all my life I have been between 180-205 , so I wanted to set a goal of 150 something I never weighed. However I think that slow and steady is the right way. I see so many people get upset that they have a stop during there journey, however I think everything happens to people at a different pace . So this is my advice to you. Just be healthy and participate in a gym and do things slowly.

Yes that is who medically clears you ! That is a bery important part . They do a sonogram of ur heart . Then they do a stress test and put u in a treadmill n make u run then do the sono again . The reason they do this is to see how ur heart reacts to fiction

Band is no good as far as my mom goes she had the band and boy that was just the worse thing ever . But in case you were not familiar with the band and all the horrible things that have happen just be aware that there is a class action lawsuit in full affect that millions of people across the US have joined(I know because my mother is one of them ) . The band will be removed from the market I say with in 2 years. My mother and sister had a bad experience but let's keep it short and simple ! SLEEVE

I dont know why I don't have a pre op diet ? Is this for everyone . I just called my doctors office n they will contact me Before 8 ? Just curious

I have a set date the 20 of feb. I am now extremely a nervous reck . When they explained to me today that I will have a tube in me 4 seven days my stomach literally touched my ribs. Lol! I'm ready willing and able to make the change. I do have a question how does that drainage tube feel ? Also why do 97% of sleevers all say they wake up with a pain in the left shoulder ? What can I do to prepare for that pain

If there was an opportunity to tell me one helpful hint for either before or after surgery , what would it be ? I will be waiting with pen and paper

Great decision ! For my evaluation appt they just weighed me in asked me about 17 page in questions and I met with the surgical coordinator at north shore LIJ. Then she gave me a list of all the doctors and kinds of exams you need to do before it can be submitted for a surgery date . After that I met with the Dr. Larry Gellman which he is just great I asked all the questions i wanted to know . We Actually weighed out the pros and cons of each surgery as well as risk factors . Do not and I mean do not be shy or afraid to ask any questions! This is only the beginning. Remember there are so many great people on this forum that at any time feel free to ask anything at anytime and there is always someone Awake and ready to respond. Good luck
