Kale in a smoothie... maybe for just a green smoothie, but I cant see it with milk or fruit at all. That's just me though! I drink greens daily, but it is a powder. Just mix with water. Very easy. Gives me tons of nutrients! Been doing it for years... but have not been sleeved yet. Next month is my month! Woo-hoo!!!

Congrats! You look amazing! I get sleeved next month and cant wait! Do you have any other personal tips to share, like maybe tips for the hospital or your first week? Everyone's journey and body is different, so I am taking notes from everyone I can! Thanks in advance! -

If you have a Sam's Club or Costco, they sell Premier Protein shakes. I have drank them for years and love them! (and I have not had my Sleeve yet!) They have 30 grams of protein. They are pre-made so easy to take. No mixing powders and such. Not thick at all. Affordable, too! I have also enjoyed the protein nectars that are out there. Love Peach! I just add them to water. Yummy. I read everyone's posts... planning for my journey soon! And all your tips and info help immensely!! Lee ~

I wanted to ask you all.... if you could share just ONE tip that you WISH someone would have shared with you about the surgery or what to eat or what to expect or anything at all, what would that be?? Anything you care to share would be awesome... good or bad! I want to be as prepared as possible!! Many thanks in advance!! Lee

How do you get over feeling like this is crazy?
femgem replied to MelissaGG's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Hi Melissa... I am new here also. My Sleeve surgery is in March. I never considered the Band myself, after having a friend be so unsuccessful with it and me not wanting the foreign object in my body. Gastric Bypass, however, I have wanted for many years!! I finally have insurance to cover it! When I read about the Sleeve and how less invasive it was (no malnutrition and no cutting into everything), I have decided that is the right choice for me. I am in no way fearful or hesitant; I am overwhelmed with anticipation and excitement for a "new me"!! I way 250lbs. I have high blood pressure, am pre-diabetic, and my knees hurt soooo bad. It is virtually impossible to exercise. But years ago, I loved to power walk 3 miles a day, play tennis, volleyball, etc... I look forward to the weight loss so I can be active again! And I know I cannot do it on my own. I have tried every diet out there, along with therapy, hypnosis, shots, etc... VSG Is the best choice for me! I have yet to hear from anyone that they regret their WLS decision. Anyhow... not sure if I have helped at all, but thought I would chime in I wish you the very best in your journey!!! Warmly, Lee -
My surgery is in March. Thanks for the heads up! I will make sure I have the Prevacid on hand! Any other "pointers" you can think of? Thanks in advance!! Lee
