Having second thoughts!

The way I look at it is, if a diet works, it would be just called the way. I've tried so many times and have won sometimes but always seemed to lose in the end. My family at first was against it. I was just a big guy (6'6" 345lbs) tough. Well i dont feel tough when im so tired of carring this weight. Seeing my waist grow and always wanting to change but always knowing the outcome. My family seen my struggles and now support me. Im not doing it for my looks, im doing it to be around for my kids. That is what ill be thinking while they wheel me into the O.R. Think of what you want the most from this surgery, and use that to drown the doubt. Ramble done. -

Thank You for just interacting on this subject. Its hard to talk to people around me about this. There all like just go on a diet, or weight watchers. I hate that comment. If it worked it would be called the way, not a plan.

I think i worry because this is my first real surgery. I know it will be over before i know it and i will be like that wasnt that bad. Just hate the wait.
-
Because there forever. I just worry about everything.

Lap band scares me more. I hear alot of bad things about it. It was my first pick when i started my journey on WLS.
-
I really hope so. The thought of staples in my stomach is the part that bothers me.

Thanks, thats also what the little voice says in my head. I just have to listen to it more often and stop stressing. Im so tired of not being able to play with my kids because im out of breath or my knees hurt so bad. Im looking so forward to buying a pair of jeans from a reg store too. Im so sick of being the big guy, i want to be the healthy big guy. Im 6'6" and 352lbs. Cant wait to see what ill be a year out. Sorry for the rambling.

Im nervous too. I just want to wake up and it already be over. A friend of mine had it done two weeks ago, and he said he felt some gas pain but felt fine 3 days out. He returned to work within 2 weeks and has no pain at all. Hope this helps some. Good luck. -
So my date is set, and my big worry is how is this going to effect me 10, 20, 30 years from now. Is there going to be a commercial 5 yrs from now saying "did you or someone you know have gastric sleeve surgery?" "call us lawyers to get help". Stupid i know. I'm scared and excited at the same time. I want this, but dont at the same time. Maybe i wish there was more long term info on the sleeve. Just a worry wart I guess.

Just waiting for my date. Was actually able to get it done in august and chicken out. Finally made up my mind and said enough is enough. I'm so nervous it sometimes upsets my stomach. I welcome any advice and stories.
