I was banded by dr talbot through nsios last april i have never been to a support group but am thinking about going so i will probably see you next tuesday.. Hi Everyone, I contacted NIB today as i was freaking out after reading that some would be dropping the surgery from their cover, But NIB wont be dropping it Thank goodness.

Bronnie and Susannah congratulations Im being banded on the 8th of april but ive been reading the forums for awhile and you guys are fantastic, you both have acheived so much. good on you both

Chickie, 12 months ago i went to an information night at sios in ashfield that was after reading one of your messages on this site and seeing your amazing results in your pics, your photo's remind me of myself and you gave me the inspiration and hope that i needed to go through with the band i am being banded on April 8th. Just seeing your results and reading your advice gives everybody going through this journey encouragment and hope Thankyou:drool:

Hi striver, the wait isn't that bad ive got 6 months left till i have my lbs and beleive me the wait's worth it ive stretched all my visits out over the next 6 months so that it feels like its going quicker Im booked in at SIOS not sure who the surgeon is as i have to see the cardiologist first. So good luck

Hi guys im new to the world of banding i went to the info seminar last night and i will go ahead with the procedure but what im wanting to know is how has every1 else paid for the surgery? Id have to go thru private health and wait 12 months so that will end next april but has anybody else had out of pocket expenses.. Im with NIB and they just dont explain it to me clearly 1 woman said id pay nothing nib would cover everything and another said something about some scheme so id love it if some of you would let me know what you guys have been thru to pay for this life changing surgery. :help:

Hi every1 im a newbie:) Im so new infact that tonight im going for the info session. ive been reading alot of the posts on here and you guys are fantastic it has taken me weeks to find a forum on the net where their is aussie bandsters.. I have recently in the past 2 months been looking at the surgery my doctor thinks it will solve most of my medical problems... id love to hear from any of you with advice as i wont be having surgery untill april next year when my insurance ticks over the 12 month period as i could never pay the full amount upfront. You are all doing so well keep up the effort you really do give girls like me something to aim for :biggrin1:
