I used a fruit punch crystal light!

These last 2 weeks have been great for me! 1st let me say that this has been like an up and down roller coaster ride. I have good days and I have bad days but I always look forward to my good days! I was sleeved on 1-16-13 my highest weight was 376. surgery day was 363 today I weigh 292 for a total of 84#s down. A big week because I cannot remember when I was under 300#. when I weighed myself I got off and got back on just to make sure!! It was an amazing feeling. I'm sure somee of u know the feeling! Also, I have not made a purchase on any kind of clothing because I think its a waste but I would walk by cars or mirrors and all I would see is a person looking like a slob with big ol baggy clothes. So... I decided I needed to buy something. Pre op I was wearing size 26 I recently bought some size 20s!! I'm glad I made this decision just wish I wouldve did it sooner! Even tho I don't post much on here Im grateful for the support and inspiration!

I'm 8 weeks post op tomorrow and I'm down about 40lbs ( I don't weigh in regularly) I've been having some trouble following my diet. In the last 2 weeks we moved and little league has been kicking my ass! We've also had some serious plumbing problems at the new house. Its all taken its toll on me. I haven't been eating good not taking my meds or drinking fluids.. so today I decided I need to get on track! I called Kaiser to see if I could meet with a nutritionist for some guidance.... would u believe they in so many words said NO!? Needless to say I was pretty upset. The lady gave me excuses as to why they couldn't see me. The main one was I wasn't 6 months post op. Like really I need help now not in 4 more months. I was mad and hung up. Someone else called back and tried to tell me different. Who do I call now?

Tomorrow will be 5 weeks post op for me. I am in the middle of a stall... :/ I'm not beating myself up just a lil disappointed. I started my period this week some I'm hoping that's it. And I can shake this next week! Good luck

I'm on 50mcg... 28lbs down since surgery day 4weeks ago.

I didn't have Catheter.. I started started mine 3 days after it wasn't easy... :/ I still had stomach pain and it was hard to reach. Good luck

I have been having the same problem. I stopped eating and went back to protein shakes :/ I got so upset I didn't drink anything for 2days. But I kicked myself in the ass and im trying to get back on track. I have to eat when it's quiet so I can pay attention to my stomach. Its hard and time consuming but don't give up! Keep trying slowly.. everyday is a new day! Best of luck

I didn't get put out til I wax in the surgery room. I remember telling them NOT TO KILL ME!!!! LOL and when I woke up I was screaming IM HAVING A HEART ATTACK!!!! call me dramatic I'll take it. You'll be fine just remember to walk as soon as u can! Good luck. Ill say a prayer for u

hello January sleevers. I had my first post op today. down 17lbs since surgery day. 27lbs per op. I feel great! no complications so far but still struggling with the protein. in the process of trying different brands. but no luck yet!

I was the same way pre op... when I started to get hungry I would go for a walk. It sounds dumb but it helped me. You've come this far to not show up for ur big day! Promise u wont feel hungry post op. Good luck!

It's happens to me. I'm just over a week pre open. Lucky it has only hit me in the a.m.

Everyone is different. I'm just over a week out and still have gas. Best thing is to WALK! My main incision gets better everyday. Today I was able to get out of bed without putting a lil pressure one it. Good luck!

Sleeved on 1/16 down 12lbs since day of surgery. Feeling good but STRUGGLING with the protein shakes and this loud bubbly noise. The gas is still moving around and gets stuck right in my esophagus which hurts. But other then that I'm on my way!

6 days post op. Having the same problem. I thinks its the gas still trying to make its way out! :/

good morning all. I signed up a few days and have been scoping it all out. I decided to post because today is my surgery day. I finished my classes in Nov 2011 and im finally taking the plunge. I have 1,000 different emotions right now but there is turning back as of 7am.. reading everyone's postes and stories is very helpful and comforting! I'm 31 and can't remember EVER being at a healthy weight. I have a 7 yr old that I need to be here for and set a way better example. my family is very supportive and for that I'm grateful! the only health issue I have is hypothyroidism and plantar fasciitis.. I'm excited for what the future has in store for me! please say a prayer for me and I'll gladly do the same.

Everything went well! Thank you for all the support. I'm still here obviously! And today is better then yesterday. I was up and walking last night which really really helped. I'm still groggy from the pain meds and a little nauseous but I'm sipping my fluids. Ive met a few others here doing the same thing and that has helped me also. The nurses at St bernadines have been great! Thanks again everyone. Best of luck!
