Great! I did my first 5k today! Still taking it day by day but I definitely feel like it's getting easier and easier! How are things going for you?

I just had the surgery on March 19, 2013. I am looking for someone who I can buddy up with to aid me in my success!

Anything you do has complications that can occur. Doesn't mean that they are going to. You need to sit down and figure out the pros vs the cons! Don't let anyone one else, not even your mother, make a decision about YOUR body for you. You need to make decisions that you think are best for you. Have you gone to support meetings for WLS in your area? They really do help and then you can meet people in person and share their experiences with you! Most people will tell you that WLS was the best thing that they have done. Pills only work if you are taking them or using them as a tool. A lot of this process is mental and you have to change how you think about food and how you use food. Just do what is best for you and only you can make that decision!

Yeah I found a protein shake I like. I need to get better about taking in the liquids, I feel like I am always full though so most of the time even the water doesn't really go down well. I have bought a bunch of different things so that I can have some variety in my life.

I'm doing ok, down 26 lbs thus far! Struggling to get my fluids and stuff though.

I also had my surgery done in Alma by Dr Cudjoe! How are you doing thus far?

I am 8 days post op and I have only had 1 BM, I have combed through the forum and read about everyone going multiple times a day. I do not have this problem though. Is it out of the ordinary for me to not be going? I am not in a lot of pain or discomfort so I didn't know if it's something I should be worried about!?

Thank you for your replies!! I see the doc on Friday I just was not sure if it was something to show concern about especially since I don't show any signs of discomfort!

I am 4 days out of surgery and thus far I believe that I am doing well. However I do feel like I am a cracked up mess waiting to shatter. I don't feel the confidence I had before the surgery. I find myself second guessing everything. I know this a huge part of mental activity, but I am questioning whether or not I can do this because I no longer see the light at the end of the tunnel. I have a wonderful support system when I know is key. Right now I don't look at them as the blessing that they are. Instead I look at them as another list of people, including myself, that I could potentially let down. I pray I find some serenity soon!
