janarae replied to nursepez's topic in Rants & Raves
I'm pretty sure it came out that she did have by-pass, not sure how her credibility will be. I won't be looking to her for recipes or help, start with lies that it for me. -
Is it right for my 18 year old daughter?
janarae replied to Stevenson's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Do it, don't wait. It will be a hard year for her. I wish I would have done it when I was 18. I have an 11 year old that is a little heavy, if in a few years she is heavier I won't hesitate to give her this gift. Good job mom for asking and researching this!! -
I get that everytime, I haven't found out what causes it but its annoying. When I had my sleeve in Mexico the gauze strip they used didn't do that but I can't find it in the states. I'm so sorry

C-Section Vs Sleeve Pain
janarae replied to blackmagikcrush's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had 3 c sections, lap band and sleeve, sleeve was more uncomfortable because of the gas pain only. I recovered easily with all. -
Do you have an email address to get in contact with them? I'm researching ps and am interested in him.

For me they just gave me meds to sleep, they put a tube down your throat and use a balloon to stretch it. Except for a sore throat and my stomach was a little uncomfortable, it's really pretty simple. I came home slept the rest of the day and night and have been on liquid and soft foods as onewriterssoul suggested to me. My dr said normal eating was fine but I don't see how I could. I actually had a few bites of chicken and didn't throw up. Don't worry yourself, you'll do fine. Keep us posted

I had my stricture repaired yesterday, except for waking up in the middle of it and freaking everyone out it was pretty easy. I have a sore throat but I think that's because I had woke up, gagged and asked if I should be awake. I know it's hard, I've been there. Sending you great well wishes!!

I agree with Lauren, a scope will either confirm or rule out a stricture. I have one, I can keep Water down but no food. I waited to get it checked out and now I'm miserable till they fix it. Talk to you dr. Good luck! Revision 1/31/13 by Dr Cabrera and Venezuela in MX
