Hi there, I'm just over a year out and 20 weeks pregnant. I've lost 100+ (it fluctuates) lbs (pre pregnancy). My OB and I discussed my weight history, my past pregnancies, and my current pregnancy and she gave me they ok to not gain (but not lose) any weight. If I do gain, we hope it's less than 10-15 lbs. So far I'm right on track at 163 and my baby is growing just as s/he should. I even have a bit of a bump showing! My questions for you are... How much weight did you plan to gain? How much did you actually gain? How did you stay on track with your weight during pregnancy? How much weight did you have to lose after birth? Were you able to lose the weight and what was that like compared to your pre-pregnancy sleeve weight loss? Thanks in advance for taking the time to reply!

I got mine the day before. I'm now 9 months out, down 100lbs from my heaviest and my tom is STILL not regular. It git crazy... like 50+ days in a cycle. Now it's down to 38. But talk about stress each month. I'm not trying to get pregnant! I just got my sexy back!

Ok, I'm only a week out. But I've lost just over 21 lbs since starting my post op liquid diet. I'm getting concerned about a jiggly body. Will shape wear help lessen the jiggles? In other words, will the shape wear help me firm up if I wear it or is it just going to hold everything in and prevent to appearance of jiggle to on lookers?

RE: dumping My surgeon told me it could be a possibility for someone like me who didn't have a gallbladder since I was having these symptoms before. However, since being sleeved I haven't experienced it.

I'm a lil over 600 cals a day. I'm trying to do more eating of protein rather than drinking. I'm ok to be on soft foods (including soft meats) now. I find that I burp up eggs each and every time I eat some. I feel full after 2.5 ounces drpending on the consistency of the food. But what really got me lately is that when I eat something really flavorful (even if its on my ok list) I feel guilty. Is anyone else in that weird head space?

Hi Joe, I did both steps. I sent the vst msg first with both my fb and my email. Then I saw you posted your fb link so I sent you a friend request on fb. You don't have to unfriend me though. TIA! Lana -

Post op march sleevers
onelessfatgirl replied to gelen's_change's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've hit that week 3 change in weight loss. I had lost close to 30 lbs but gained a few back. I was really bummed at first. But, I'm not worried I read up on it and understand my body is trying to preserve it's stores of fat and water. I am exercising more and more. I take the stairs at work about 8-12 times a day. My goal is to do 20-40 mins cardio 3 times a week and alternate days with 3 days light free weights and yoga/pilates exercises. I'm feeling good - normal. I've come down 2 pants sizes and can tell my body is changing shape. So, I'm just hopeful that things will start moving before too long. My family has been so supportive! My husband takes pleasure in shopping and concocting new drinks and dishes for me (and him about 50% of the time) to eat. We've taken several family walks/bike rides which my kids are loving. And, on Easter my Aunt hugged me and told me she could see a big difference, the weight was falling off, and she was proud of me. Both my mom and husband see me daily and have commented on how my face is changing and my pants seem or look too baggy like they may fall off. The one down side is that I can tell I'm more hormonal. I can cry at the simplest things. SMH. But despite the freeze on the scale and t he occasional tears, I'm doing well. I'm thanking God every day for seeing me through this, for helping me stay positive, and for giving me supporters. -

Vitamins not staying down...
onelessfatgirl replied to ..................'s topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I take the chewable bariatric advantage multivitamin with the Vit D and B12. They were just making me queasy but last Friday I actually threw up. Since then I gave been breaking then in halves and quarters and only taking in more once the nausea subsides. Can you break your vitamin dosage up to see if that changes things? -
*sigh* I'm feeling down. I lost 11 lbs on my pre op diet and I had lost 14 lbs since surgery. Yay, right? I know! But once I introduced more food-like smooshy foods I actually gained weight. Only 2 lbs so far but it still sucks. I've read that around week 3 lots of people's weight loss changes as their body adjusts. I am trying to keep an open, optimistic outlook but it's hard. I can tell my body is changing. I can see my waist is smaller and my inner thighs and that I have ankles again. But I also am feeling guilty (I think it's guilt) because its hard to get in all my Protein, all my Water, all my Vitamins, and eat smushy foods. Some days I've done good and met my Drs/NUTs minimum of 60 grams of protein and 38-42oz of water. But I know they'd like to see me have more of each every day. So I feel like that and the fact that I've tried things I shouldn't (crab meat, over cooked broccoli and carrots in soup I didn't puree, scrambled eggs, and some spoonfuls of a sweet sugar filled whipped choc mint pie) makes this all my fault and I'm a miserable failure. And I've been walking and taking the stairs but I've only done a handful of sweat inducing cardio workouts since surgery. My husband is telling me that it's only been a couple of weeks, ease up on myself, and that my body is adjusting. I just don't know how to feel. Talk to me here!

Did anyone go back to work part-time at first?
onelessfatgirl replied to sr910's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I took 2 full weeks off and went back full time. But, since my surgery was mid week my return was also mid week so it was short and do-able. GL to you! -
I just saw a Poise commercial and I realized that it's been 2 weeks since my surgery and since Spring has come to the Pacific North West my allergies are in full swing AND I am no longer wetting myself when I sneeze. Hehehe, sorry if it's TMI for some.

As I am just entering the pureed stage I tonight it might be fun and interesting to see what some other sleevers ate for dinner on any given night. So tell us where you're at in the process and what's for dinner! I'll go first! One week post op. Now in the pureed stage. Pureed mashed potatoes with ricotta seasoned with garlic, pepper, and seasoning salt.
