Keep on looking. You will eventually find the right Dr for you. Please don't give up. I also have been living with depression and anxiety for years but as the others say yo have to keep searching for answers. I know it feels like there is no end but you will see once you get on the right meds. good luck to you. -
My surgery was 1/28/2013 and I have only had a light period about 12 days after and none since. I even took a pregnancy test at the last doctor visit. He said pretty normal after the procedure.

I've been sleeved since end of January 2013, and YES I would do it again. I am down 34-35 pounds and it's slow going but it's going. The only thing I noticed as a side effect is heart burn. So I just stay away from spicy/greasy stuff. Not too hard to do. The not drinking carbonated drinks helps too. But aside from that thank goodness I have not noticed any other side effect. Good luck on your journey!

The Costco Premier shakes are great. I do the same as shrinkingmom, I add SF jello, a little bit of PB or coffee. They come out great w ice. -
I can tell you that is exactly what is going through her head. But you jut reassure her that it will be so much better and you both will be able to do alot more fun stuff together and feel good. It is a scary thing to have your loved one make a big change. I am sure everything will be fine. Good luck to you!

Looks a little infected. You may want to call your doc.

I DID IT! Sleeved march 22nd

Great job! Sounds like your doing great. Yeah the soreness will get better. There is just one spot on the lower left side that always is the last to heal. They put an extra tight stitch there, inside. Just be careful. You will see that in a few days or a couple weeks you will have some appetite, or maybe you will be one of the lucky ones that don't. Make sure you walk everyday and get in your water. Good luck on your journey! -
Hi there! My surgery date was alos the 28th of January. I too was stuck at 30, then now I am down 2 more. But...I also was up a few then back down again. Don't stress it. This happens to everyone. What I have done is gone back to the basics. I am not going over 30 carbs a day nor over 1000 cals a day. Make sure your getting in your protein and water. It's still hard for me to get in all the liquid but I am trying. Also I think most of all....move...walk, walk, walk. I just purchased and elyptical machine, I like it. So even if you break up your workout time to 3 10 minute sessions, it really works. good luck to you.

Child's reaction to surgery
Bunnydee replied to Sooner girl36's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have an 8 year old and my husband and I both decided to sit down with him and explain the process and that Mommy would get better and not have to give herself shots anymore (insulin). He was a bit nervous on the day of but when Dad took him to see me and I made a pretty face for him he was better. I came home from the hospital a couple days later and he helped take care of me. He made sure our little dog didn't jump up on me, he was such a good doctor! I was lucky I didn't have to go to Mexico because Kaiser covered the sleeve. -
Your story was so touching and I am so happy you decided to do make this journey. You are a brave woman. I was sleeved end of January and I've lost close to 30 pounds. Up and down a pound or two. So I would say you are doing marvelous! Keep up the great work and good luck to you!
