Great job! You can do it!
-
Yeah, that was me 2 weeks ago. It will get down gradually. Remember your body has gone through a traumatic surgery. Just take it a day at a time. Good luck to you!
-
cont....but now...wow I am so happy and Tiffany0925 is right, you just have this overwhelming feeling of sassyness...lol. I feel fabulous and I can't wait till you do too! Just let people say that they are gonna say, it doesn't mean they know what they are talking about.

I got that all my life! I am 46, 47 on the 17th. I got the "o you are so pretty just get on a good diet" Well PEOPLE it's obvious that diets just don't do the work for me. I just let people talk at me and I listened respectfully..then I went home and ate a bag of popcorn or something.

I did it 2 weeks ago!!! All I can say is I am so happy! I know you all will be too! It's so worth it. Good luck to you all!

Wow awesome recipe! I will certainly try this once I can incorporate meat. I'm still on mushy food for another couple weeks. -
3 weeks out- quanity of food/liquid consumption.
Bunnydee replied to boatdays's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi there! I am 2 weeks out and I eat the Rosarita canned refried beans-Vegetarian, soft tofu, cottage cheese, mashed avocado, mashed potatoes, oatmeal, cream of wheat. My doctor told me that as long as it's baby food consistency...i mash the heck out of it! LOL...I also have yogurt. You can add banana and other fruits to the blender and add to your shakes or yogurt. Oh yeah SF popsicals. I hope this helps some. -
Can I ask what a NUT is?
-
I haven't gone thru the flu yet...knock on wood...But I am also having the same feeling with the taste of my shakes. I added some banana to my shake and this helped. Since your tummy just went through the flu, it may still be traumatized. Try having just soft food for a few days, you know like the BRAT diet. Good luck to you. Feel better!

Juny, you have to remember that this is a LIFE change. I myself have been sleeved for 2 weeks now and I have had my moments of uncertainty but you know what? I cant wait to be healthy and be able to just feel plain good! Your goals are very normal ones. Make small goals for yourself at first. Say maybe 10-15 pound for the next 4 weeks. So if you surpass that great! Just take it a day at a time. I have to tell you the second weeks is a huge change in how you feel and how you think. I have totally noticed that in me. I cant wait to work out! ME work out?! Ok, work out and excited have never been in the same sentence in my life! LOL....Just keep up what your doing and we will have little trip ups along our journey but we will succeed. I believe in YOU. Good luck to you.

I was sleeved 2 weeks ago, I can tell you that you will be able to eat anything, eventually. There may be certain things that you just wont tolerate anymore. Also I noticed that your taste does change some. I don't fee depressed or anything yet. For some weird reason what I do look forward to trying to eat again are salads. I also crave a lettuce wrap with lots of tomato, weird huh? We are responsible for teaching ourselves what we can have versus what we should have. I think you will be fine. don't be scared, it's an adventure and part of our new life. Good luck to you!

Stall 2 weeks after revision?
Bunnydee replied to blondiefroggy's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
Facing 50: I have a questions....Where can I get powdered peanuts? Are they raw peanuts and just ground to a powder? Can I do that in a food proccessor? -
I was revised on 1/28/2013. It has been the best decision ever! The band just was not for me. I was banned on 4/18/2011 and never lost more than 15 lbs. My insurance changed through work and I ended up with KAISER...I was not to happy about that but I had no other choice. My primary doctor and I discussed the possibility of a revision on my diabetic appt, that was like Tuesday and I received a call from the bariatric deptartment the next day! The bariatric nurse I spoke with said that it would not be a problem. She put in for a referral for my Dr. to approve...and waalaa in 48 hours I received an approval letter! I had my surgical consult a couple weeks later on 1/9/2013 and was in surgery on the 28th. Was amazingly quick. My surgeon Robert E Zan in Harbor City Ca. is amazing as well as all his staff.

Turkey or chicken breast with zucchini buns
Bunnydee replied to Ljp's topic in Regular foods (stage 4)
MMM this sounds lovely. Cant wait to eat solids again. -
I told my family and best friends. I had the lap band done 18 mos ago and would get the occasional question...wow that procedure really slow, huh? But I really didn't care. I have a huge hispanic family and well....all our parties and get togethers are all about FOOD. That's ok. I know I will be able to enjoy some of the healthier things that are put out. I just have to learn to be responsible and know when to stop. So far there has been nothing but a positive reaction from everyone.

Hey your going ion the right direction! Any loss is great loss! Just keep a diary of everything that goes into you mouth. It could be just this one little snack or a certain carb that just isn't good for you. Once you have a weeks worth or diary look it over. Maybe there is somthing you can tweak on your eating regimen. Make sure to move, weather you walk or do a workout using a dvd at home, it's super important to move. I play music and dance around while I do my housework, cooking etc. Before you know it your sweating. -
Well I didn't want to do that but I did for a couple of days pre-op and then stopped myself. Just think of what you have gone through to get this far. I just had my surgery Jan 28th and I don't regret a thing. It was hard to keep a pre op diet, even though mine was only a few days. When I had the band done 18 months ago my pre-op diet was 2 weeks prior and mannn was it hard. Right now it's hard. Im on soft foods and even though a little fills me up quick in the evening I am feening for chips, or anything to snack on. I swear I want to cry sometimes. But we have to think of what's coming. Its gonna be so great to be healthy. You can do it! Good luck to you.

LOL...good for you guys! -
I love oatmeal and just started my soft mushy foods. I am 15 post op and I was able to eat 1/2 c cooked sugar free oatmeal. I only ate that much because I got scared and threw out the rest. Will this stretch my pouch? Should I nix the oatmeal?

Bunnydee replied to ashley624's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wow I just made my first trip to the market yesterday...SF Oatmeal, FF cottage cheese, NSA applesauce, SF popscicles, canned refried beans.....Still on mushy foods. My next menu change will be in 4 weeks....thanks for all the info! -
Thanks I was freakin out here.....Do you find that if you have something savory for Breakfast, you want something sweet for snack? Is snacking between meals something I should or not do? I'm really gonna kick up the cardio this week but only 2 weeks out, scared to rush it.
