Hi, I am a band to sleeve revision... Band removal scheduled for the 12 th and then I must wait 12 weeks before my sleeve is done ... Doc wants to make sure all is healed ..

Hi, Dr. Adolfo Fernandez at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston Salem will be doing my sleeve. He did my band placement ! He is awesome and has a wonderful and comprehensive team ! They are a blue cross blue shield center of excellence too so I know that helps with some insurance approvals. Hope this helps ????

I am in total agreement .. I have had a band since 2010 and it had been a roller coaster ... I am stalled with weight loss no matter what I do or do not put in my mouth... My husband after two years knows the "stuck" signs ie... Eyes watering, stretching, not talking... And it gets so old excusing yourself multiple times during the same meal..... (Sorry about the rant) At my last appointment I told my doc I hated my band and that he would think I was crazy cause I talked to it lol.... My conversation usually consists of "oh your not gonna let me eat this today even though I had the same thing yesterday .... He told me I needed a break from my band and Unfilled me 1.5 cc's. I was beginning g to have some probs too. we talked and I cried And I told him that I felt like a failure .... He's a great surg and wonderful doc, and he said I think it's time we move on to something different and suggested sleeve..

Hi I'm new on here! I am hopefully going to be sleeved in feb or march .. Currently have had a band in place for 2 years.. Having some problems and weight has stalled no matter how or what I do or do not eat .. Dr suggested we take band out and move forward with VGS ... Scared and excited .... Obsessed with finding out information on VGS ups downs, goods, bad and ugly of surgery .... I am 40 yr old Mom of 2 boys 15 &19 5'4" Current weight 238 In North Carolina
