Lissa - congrats on how far u have come. It is truest amazing. I have been following everyone's journey on this thread for a very long time (now who sounds stalker-ish!) and what everyone else has said is so true. U r such an inspiration. I am thinking about making the trip for the Gold Coast catch up. Will just have to check what else is on. I would love to meet u all and I will have to see if I can get a sitter for my 11 year old. But keep me posted cause I would love to be there if I can. Misty - I can't wait to b obese! Well done to u! That is awesome news.

I average about 800 a day (give or take). It seems to work for me and I don't feel dizzy at all.

Thanks guys. I KNOW this is a normal part of the process and I KNOW it will break eventually, I just can't help but get disheartened!!! It's stupid because my logical brain knows all of this so I really shouldn't feel down about it...but of course can't help it! Maybe some miracle will happen when I see my surgeon today and jump on the scales!!! Hope so.

Hi guys. Need some advice please... I have hit the dreaded week 3 stall. I know most people go thru this and I was expecting it, but I was wondering is there anything I can do to try and break it or do I just have to wait it out. Having under 800 calories per day. Getting in all my fluids. Protein about 40 g per day (I am trying to increase this). Any suggestions???

Hi everyone. Hope u r all having a fantastic week. I have a question for you all, or rather a weird fact. Pre op I could NOT STAND cooking. So much so that most nights my sons and I would eat at my parents house - my mother is an amazing cook! So today I find myself pouring over recipes. Then I actually jump in the car and head to Coles. Before u know it I have cooked up 3 different meals, fed the family, frozen meals in portion sizes for me and am now contemplating what I am going to cook tomorrow! What is wrong with me? I'm not understanding this whole wanting to cook thing? Anyone else heard of or experienced this? I'm finding it quite strange. Pleasant but strange!

Help Food is just not interesting!
Helmc2 replied to Bec101's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi Bec. I have found the same thing. I used to love eggs and now they taste different. I get really excited about what I'm going to eat, but it still doesn't taste as good as I know it should! I am looking at this as a positive though! Yay. food no longer has the same hold on me that it used to. I am just trying different things and seeing how it goes. I'm still on mushy food too, so will see what it's like when I move onto real food. Good luck I have been looking at a website - emilybites.com. It is great and has lots of low fat recipes that I am going to try. Especially love the ones done in a muffin tin. Perfect size for us. Can't wait to try them! -
Basically if u eat too fast or too much (like I did today) you get this horrible yuck feeling and lots of excess saliva in ur mouth. (And I mean lots!) it is disgusting. I'm only 3 weeks out and am learning very quickly! I know my problem today was I ate too fast. My lunch was so yummy I had downed 3 bites before I even realised what I was doing!!! I then tried to slow down and chew properly, but too late! Lesson learned the hard way. Never again!!!

Omg! Lunch did not sit well today. Ate too much and way too fast. Needless to say after having the dreaded slimes for 20 mins, lunch decided to leave. Holy moley. Feel heaps better now though!
