Try taking smaller sips? It should not be causing you pain. . Definitely consult your doc or your NUT. I'm only 2 weeks out and I've pretty much lived on the premade Pure Protein shakes and a Greek yogurt. Only time I get pain is if I drink to fast or too big of a sip.

Not sure if it's normal or not but I'm day 3 an experiencing the same thing. Nothing seems to sit well in my stomach

How's everyone feeling? I was sleeved yesterday, I go back and forth with how I feel. Keep trying to sip the liquids they give me but they just upset my stomach too bad. Hope everyone is doing well.

Surgery was yesterday morning. After I passed my leak test this morning they gave me chicken broth, Jello, apple juice and wafer. I had a few sips of the broth and it made my stomach worse than it's been since surgery. Anyone else have this issue? Is this the new stomach getting used to things?

Surgery this morning! Feeling pretty good. Gas pain is the worst, anyone know how long it usually lasts? Been walking, which helps a little!

He's in Catonsville! I love his program. Very strict, but very informative and he has a great support system.

I haven't had surgery yet, so I'm probably not much help.... BUT, you also have a lower starting weight than most people. So you may not lose as fast! -
Congratulations! I'm scheduled for 730am on 9/23/13! Excited and nervous at the same time!

September 23rd! I will be released on my birthday, 9/25! Happy bday to me! -
I wasn't even planning on telling my brother and we are extremely close. Only my mom and husband know at this point. I may end up telling my brother because I will still be in the hospital on my birthday. Only reason I chose not to tell him is because I know he doesn't understand. He's an athlete and has been fit his entire life. From talking to the psychologist that my doctor requires his patients to see, she said that she doesn't think it's necessary to tell anyone other than the absolutely necessary people. But she also told me not to be embarrassed because I was taking control of my life.

Hello! I have been going through the process to get approved by insurance and was just submitted on July 12th! I'm super excited and very nervous at the same time! I recently saw a friend who had the surgery a little over a year ago, and she has met her goal. I am so happy for her and proud of her success, but I'm also noticing that she has a lot of extra skin, especially on the back of her arms and her belly. Is there a way to avoid this? Lots of weight lifting? Or is this something that you cant avoid? I know for sure that she didn't particularly eat well once she was able to start eating food and I know she didn't work out very much. I have also heard a lot of people say that the first two weeks are the hardest, which I expect. Is it hard because you are in pain or because of the whole "mourning the loss of food"? Thanks for any help/tips! So excited to start this journey!
