Sorry. I am looking at a policy from Global. I am going to call them Monday. If I purchase the insurance it will be the lowest or next to the lowest. I have some questions for them.

Stephanie, I have been looking but cannot find that (Home country coverage...). Where is it located? The man I spoke with on the phone was extremely polite. Once I have the location of that sentence, I will give them a call back and speak with the same man I spoke with the other day.

I am having my surgery with Dr. Aceves on August 5th. I know he is more expensive than some of the Mexican doctors, but it is half of what doctors here charge and from what I can tell, he is the best. The three days in the hospital and three leak tests are important to me, plus all the glowing recommendations I have read by anyone who has been to him.

I am purchasing complication insurance since my health insurance totally excludes WLS and will exclude any complications caused by it.

I will be sleeved on August 5th, also! Can't believe it is almost here,

Why is he unsure of it? Is he worried you won't come through it or is he worried after you lose a great deal of weight you might leave him?

I called today to get the ball rolling on my complication insurance, since I will be having surgery out of the country and my health insurance excludes WLS. Not scared yet, just excited. However, what will happen is that I will be TERRIFIED on surgery day!!!

I am so sorry. That is OUTRAGEOUS behavior on his part. He needs to cook himself or pick up some takeout. He needs a boot up his butt.

I am afraid that I will be in the same boat after my surgery. My DH and I both work full time, but he expects me to cook him a meal every night (except Friday which is eat out night). He likes very fatty, unhealthy meals and flat out refuses to eat fish, that is supposed to be one of my after-surgery staples and which I like. He says that I am lucky he is so supportive of my surgery but tells me frequently that it is "unnecessary surgery." He is going with me to Mexico but I still don't feel very supported. I am sorry that you are having problems, too. How were things with the two of you prior to the surgery?

Find a good therapist. We all have to deal with the head stuff which is what got us in this shape to begin with Hope you start feeling better soon.

I have yet to find anyone else having surgery with Dr. Aceves on August 5th! Hoping for a surgery buddy.

After much research, my decision was between Dr. Aceves and Dr. Alvarez. I liked the longer time in the hospital with Dr. Aceves as well as the three leak tests. Peace of mind!

I am still pre-op, but read a lot of forums and many folks report that they lose in their bust, face and arms first. The ONLY thing I enjoy about being fat is that I have a bust, so that will probably be the first thing to go for me! LOL

Amy, sounds like you made a great choice for your surgeon. I will be having my surgery with Dr. Aceves, but I also strongly considered Dr. Alvarez. They are both wonderful doctors.

How about dancing? I belonged to a line dancing group until I got too out of shape and really enjoyed that. When I was younger and thin, I thought that I didn't get any exercise, but then remembered that I used to dance almost every day to some music. That was "my time" and the movement apparently did help me keep my weight down back then.

I already have really thin hair. Wondering if I am going to have bald spots!

I'll just miss you by a few days! My date is August 5th and I will leave on the 8th.

Are you starting out with protein when you eat? You are going to have to detrox on the carbs and sweets.
