Got permission for clear liquid protein this morning... But eeewwwww, so sweet. I've never had a sweet tooth and this constant sweet stuff is getting gross. Whhaaa Whhaaa - done complaining. Must find acceptable liquids! -
January 2013 Sleevers?

Ter, That pain is likely gas... Walking really does help, and don't be embarrassed to burp! My dry mouth was a bummer too, I swished and spit VERY carefully, every time I went to the potty and washed my hands. Check with your nurse if that's ok... -

Most important thing I needed was...
rjbaker44 replied to Booney's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Heat pack felt good all over... Lower back, tummy, I walked down to the microwave, put it in, walked for the two minutes while it heated, and walked back every hour. The warmth was a nice little reward, and an hour later, I walked again. -
Wishing your surgeon has swift and talented hands, and that getting up right away is easy.

Love to have y'all as sleeve buddies! I'm feeling down today... Trying to give myself permission - 2 surgeries in 30 days'll take it out of a body. The first was a lumpectomy, thankfully benign, and the catalyst for the decision to proceed with VSG. Not regretting, but feeling like I rushed. I'm here now, and looking forward to downsizing and decreasing risks. I plan to work from home tomorrow, saving the get ready and drive energy, since I'm feeling pretty weak. It'll get better when I can have Protein, right? -
Sweet is getting old! I'm having the broth from chicken soup now... Much better.

Yesterday, I said that I get to be creative with clear liquids. Today, I'm feeling less privileged. I have, so far, had a stellar experience - in other words, no nausea, pain, etc, but I feel weak and grumpy again. Is clear liquids for 10 days really necessary?

My doc said crystal light was fine... Total liquid 64 oz per day.

January 2013 Sleevers?
rjbaker44 replied to LenaVSG's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have 6 too, I was surprised! -
I had my surgery on Tuesday and noon today Everything is working my nerves. I drank a crystal light earlier, so I had about 1/2 cup chicken soup broth (strained real soup, plain broth is not satisfying). I think the irritation has subsided, but I am really surprised as I thought that would be part of the "not hungry" any more.

1-22-13 sleevers are you ready?
rjbaker44 replied to LovinMe2013's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm home, drinking some kool aid made with Stevia. Warm herbal tea and I didn't agree this afternoon. Not a big deal, just didn't enjoy it or want another sip. It was very weird to sit here while the family ate dinner. I think tomorrow night I'll get myself busy doing something. I had staples, and now glue, and there were 6 incisions... Not sure why I thought there would be three. -
