I am almost 2 weeks post op (Monday) and I just feel so thirsty and just get the urge to just chug my whole Water bottle down! I can't take it, it's so frustrating. Can I ever chug again? I know this may sound crazy but I feel so miserable with all these liquids and medicines and I still don't feel like I know how/when to eat. Any suggestions? Can I ever drink something normally and not in sips? Sent from my iPhone using VST

You should be fine because the nutritionists always say that it's all up to what your body cn handle. Sent from my iPhone using VST

Hi guys!! I haven't been here in a couple of days but my last thread was about all of the air that I had (still have). Gas x strips worked but I wish I can burp like a man that just drank a 24 pack of beer! Lol. It's still a little painful but ill get over it. But my stomach is still hugely inflated!! I can stand it, I look like I just had a baby and I didn't look like that before. It's driving me crazy! Can anyone tell me their story on that and how long it took for your bellies to go down (inflation)? What did you guys do? Sent from my iPhone using VST

Don't feel discouraged! Although I'm only 1 week post op tomorrow I too have only lost a few lbs. your body will catch up. Trust my I wanted to cry when I see my family eating food. Yesterday was probably the first hardest day. Everyone usually goes to my mother in laws house on Saturdays and she cooks. I told my husband before we left I hope she doesn't make her enchiladas because I've been craving them like crazy. What did she have ready for us to eat when we got there? Enchiladas... That was the first breaking point and I know it's only going to get harder but we've gone as far by getting surgery we have to stick to it! It's for our own good. We will be able to eat like normal again just with time and patience. We are going to be hot mamas soon! Lol keep up the good work and congrats on the weight loss. Sent from my iPhone using VST

I am so scared yet very excited about my surgery date finally arriving! But... I'm scared that I won't wake up . I've been signing all these forms and on each of those forms are reminders that there is a chance of death. I already knew that why would you keep reminding me? I have two little ones (both under 5) and I am scared/worried that that just may be the last time I ever see them. Has anyone felt like that?

Hi there Rycherchick! My surgery was yesterday morning and it went well! Surgery was scheduled at 8:30am but surgery was done by that time which is nice because of the anxiety I seen creeping up. My biggest fear was losing my kids but thank god I woke up after. You will do great! Fear is normal. With faith and prayers you will definitely be heard. Congrats on the decision you have made to get the surgery, it takes courage. Thank goodness for all of the pre op testing a. Prayers headed your way. Congrats and good luck! Keep me posted. Wow thanks! I've never heard that before, "worrying is like praying for something you don't want". I've been praying like crazy! I went to church today and they all prayed for me. I'm no longer scared with church and expressing how I'm feeling on here cured my fears lol. Thanks guys! I will post after surgery tomorrow Sent from my iPhone using VST
