Everything sent to Insurance...
Gam replied to BigFatLoser's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
The "hurry up and wait" phase is the worst. I was nervous about getting insurance approval, and it finally happened today. The only thing I was waiting on was for my PCP to write a letter of medical necessity. We have been waiting on this letter for 2 weeks. Today, my insurance co finally said just a referral would work. Ugh. Got everything in and approved just in time for surgery on MONDAY! It will happen for you, but the waiting does stink.Hang tight, before you know it surgery day will be here. -
Monday is the day. Insurance, TriCare, finalized the ok today!

PMS, it's the worst! I'm scheduled for surgery on the 28th, and I am pms'ing too. Keep strong!

I've heard it's typically 24 hours approval. I'm on the TN/GA line, but I don't know if that makes a difference. I will let you know asap what happens. My husband is active duty but lives in Texas, we have been separated for a few years now.

I have Tricare too! Are you going to the base for care or off base? I'm in Tennessee and there isn't a base anywhere near me so I'm being treated by a local provider. I have heard Tricare is fast with approvals, usually within 24 hours.

Free2bme002, I will be sleeved at the end of the month so I really don't have much advice to offer. It would be a bummer to be healing nicely and then BAM, getting hurt. Feeling a bit down is completely understandable. Hope you have a good conversation with your surgeon and you leave feeling much better! I'm excited for you to move onto your next stage too. Soon this recovery phase will be history and you will be feeling normal again. Best wishes to you.

Jan 28! As long as my doc gets that letter of necessity in asap.

Diet Coke has been my love, my life, for 25 years and the only break I have taken was for pregnancies. I'm on day 5 of quitting, I'm pre-op. Headaches during days 1-3 were bad but have eased up. As much as I love soda, I want to lose this weight and feel better even more. Good luck!
