Tmi alert! Vag fat and peeing!
djsacco replied to Mrs.FullerRN's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mine has! It's great! I do have a friend that had to have hers tucked but she lost almost 200 pounds! So makes sense there! -
Anyone noticing changes in food taste? (I'm post op 4 1/2 weeks)
djsacco replied to Mike in LA's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes!!! I used to love scrambled eggs now they are just gross to me. Not sure if it's a texture thing or what! I am 6 months post op and I can try anything at this point. I have tried a few of my old "comfort foods" you know the ones you turn to when you need to feel better?1 Well so far I have been truly disappointed, they did not taste as good as I remembered or give me that "comfort" I was looking for. Which tells me the "comfort" part I got from the food was all in my head to begin with -

The topic title is definitely an eye catcher I no longer have the FUPA (fat above "p" area). I was worried it would be saggy but it along with the lips have both tightened up quite nicely! -
Pre op I was a very sexual person. Post op not so much! It's like I am a different person and that just doesn't appeal to me anymore. I would think I would feel sexier with the 72 pound weight loss and want to be more active. Has this happened to anyone else?

I have a very personal question!
djsacco replied to djsacco's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I wonder if it will always be an issue for me?! I just can't handle much food. I try but it just hurts. It is getting better. I actually got down almost 900 the other day. I felt so much better! -
I have a very personal question!
djsacco replied to djsacco's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You are right! I judge myself much harder than I did 72 pounds ago. I look in the mirror and see every flaw. I didn't do that before! Possibly that is part of my problem. -

I am 6 months post op. I started walk/running about 6 weeks ago. I have completed 2 5k's. I could have started earlier but I was fatigued and honestly just scared to do anything physical. Good luck. You can do it.. Just remember to go extra slow. My run is actually slower than my walk. But a mile is a mile no matter how long it takes to get there -
I have a very personal question!
djsacco replied to djsacco's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes I had stopped drinking the protein shakes but started them back per my doctors advice, He said it will help with the fatigue and he was correct. I've just recently started them again. They have also helped with my hair loss. I drink the Premier Protein. I get them at Sam's and they are truly yummy! -

I have a very personal question!
djsacco replied to djsacco's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have very little sag, my arms is my only issue. The running has tightened everything else up nicely I am leaning toward fatigue being my issue! Even being 6 months out I still have trouble getting enough calories and now I have added running! I am working on getting the calories and the fluids down! That is what I mean by post sleeve life! Eating and drinking have not come easy to me so yes my daily life is still consumed with it. I hope this all makes some sense! -
I have a very personal question!
djsacco replied to djsacco's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
YES! I am very happy with the person I see! I almost feel like I am so consumed in the daily task of being sleeved. You know, eating and drinking correctly, Now I run, that's another thing that I spend a lot of time on. Maybe it's just not as important to me now. Maybe I don't feel the need for the attention as I did when I was big. Just thinking out loud here! -

I am almost 6 months post op. How many calories should I be getting a day?
-
I am one month post op and so far today I've eaten Buffalo Chicken, Chipotle, an entire wheel of cheese and a chocolate shake. Is that OK?
djsacco replied to LipstickLady's topic in Food and Nutrition
Girl you are doing great! at one month post op I was still pretty much liquids! I am 5 months out and have really just started trying that type of stuff! But I have had issues! I'm all good now -
Just got home from the hospital.

The head hunger is the worst part! I will shoot ya straight... I had a terrible time with it! I cried at times! It lasted several weeks... BUT.... keep telling yourself it is not forever! I am 16 weeks post op. I don't care what anyone around me is eating. Food no longer has control over my mind! I now eat for nutrition! Hang in there! I promise it gets better -
I am 16 weeks post op! Will I ever feel hunger again? If I haven't eaten in a while I get a nauseated feeling which is calmed with a drink or two of water but I never feel hunger pangs! It will be just fine with me if I never have that gnawing feeling again

Sip, Sip, sip..... What can I eat? will it hurt my tummy? yes it hurts my tummy? Everything hurts! 9 out of 10 days are bad food days! Invited to eat lunch with a friend... Oh what can I eat.. oh yeah, I can't eat anything in a social setting! Invited to dinner with friends... I'll order food just move it around my plate... get a to go box.... order Water just so I don't look silly! Remember I can't eat in a social setting! Must eat alone so I can concentrate on how big of a bite, how I must chew, chew, chew! Constant bloating and gas! Gas X goes every where with me! Waking up every single night since surgery at 3 am ish so nauseous.... must keep water by my bed... helps the nausea Invited for drinks with friends... Oh what can I drink? No beer.... nothing too sweet! Oh crap! What I did drink hurts my stomach... Sorry friends to break up the party I must go home.... I am sick... AGAIN! Sex? What is that? Non exsistant is what it is! Weak, tired, eating, drinking, bloating, gas is what I think about not sex! My hair is falling out by the handfulls! My life as I knew it gone.... I am becoming a recluse! It's just too stresful putting myself out there! But ya know what.... I am getting skinny!!!!! And isn't that the only thing that matters?!?! Happiness, contentment, a social life, a marriage...... who needs all that when you have skinny!! Right?!?! -
This is my life..... Just get over it.. right?!?!
djsacco replied to djsacco's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I can go and do these things I just have issues with not paying attention and taking bites too big, or too close together! Everyone knows about my surgery so it's not a matter of not wanting anyone to know or ask why I can't eat! Basically life as I knew it is over and yes I expected changes and yes I'm loving my new body and yes I get irritated when I can't enjoy the social interaction that helped get me fat to begin with . I am still new to this and learning all the do's and don'ts. I have my pouty bad days and this post was one of those days! Just needed to vent to understanding ears! -

No I do not eat late at night! I try to stay on the eat a little bit every 3 hours rule. I try to follow the rules. when it doesn't work that's when I get whiny and frustrated! I knew you guys here would have words to get me out of this funk! You are all correct! -
