    Sleeved tomorrow!

Hang in there girls! After the first 3 or4 weeks you will feel like a new you. Especially when another 20 or 30 lbs comes off. You now have a new relationship with food and the fat wall is coming down! New world to see and live in.
  2. I am hypothyroid and my meds have gone down since surgery may 1. My hair has thinned after the first month but not too bad. Has slowed down the last month. I am hoping back to normal in next 6 months. Small price to pay have lost 101 lbs and got rid of 4 pills out of 6. Hope to get rid of the rest by end of the year. Will only leave thyroid med and vitamins!

    Night Time Munchies

Yes, I get a pudding pop 40cals or a protein shake. I have a hard time when to eat sometimes because I work overnight 3 to 4 days a week. I am use to eating at 1 or 2am.

In a heart beat yes!!!! Just list 101lbs as of this am. Don't think I could have done it without this tool. And I really can eat what I want just not as much!

    Am I wrong?

What she doesn't understand is that you have 80 to 100 pounds to lose and u want to keep it off. She also doesn't know if you have high blood pressure or type 2 . People don't understand when you are addicted to food it's hard to keep on the wagon because you can never just give it up!

    New here!

Keep up the good work girls! I am an RN 6 months out and down 98 lbs as of last week. Had been on 6 different pills for com obits. Off 4 of them and hopefully off the rest next month. Psych Evaluation?

Better that you are in therapy before. The eval is no big deal they ask questions like to you heat voices, etc. you are on the right road to have the therapy started before the surgery. That way you will have the tools to handle the new you and new relationship to food.

Hang in there girls! You will have ups and downs in the first month but it will be worth it. Come back to the real world that is beyond the wall of fat! You will be happy you made the trip.

    Confused. Feel the same?

I had a good recovery. No gas problem. Pain from incision site but that healed. 5 months out and 96 off. Glad I did it.
  15. You will find that you can enjoy events eat alittle and not really notice the food as the center like you use to. I am 5 months out and my relationship with food is 95% better. I still have my moments but not as many as time goes on. I went out this Sunday to BJ s here in California it's a pizza micro brew place. I had a small app. And was fine. The kids had what they wanted. Found out my bill is smaller now which is great!
  16. The surgery forced me to re do my relationship with food. I like food still but it's not my go to comfort. I eat because I need to not because I am upset about life. I have broken down the wall of fat and I am living more now. I have gotten rid of 5 pills that I needed to take that where only sort of working. In 3 months hopefully I will rid of the last two. I thought of the band at first but realized after an info meeting I needed to go for the sleeve. I was happy then had a panic attack. It is hard to deal with at first. I was still questioning myself as I got on the or table and they were putting the mask on my face. Woke up and I was finished. I am glad I have a better live the I had 5 months ago. I feel better and look better. You may feel regrets in the short run but in the long run you will be happy. I thought I could do it on my own but I also felt like I could gain it back. Yes I know I still can but I would have to work real hard at it! I was sleeved may 1 and I am down 96 lbs as of Sunday. Please grab onto your life and start to live not living to eat.

I was 3x or bigger. I bought a yoga outfit for running around in. Went to work in it the whole place came out and looked at me. They know I have lost the weight but with theses clothes they could really see the new me. I had not thought of it but they could not really see the new bod while I have been wearing the old clothes. I am waiting to buy a lot until I loose about 20 more pounds so I can get it in the size I hope to stay for the rest of my life give or take 10 pounds.

I am my. 6 th month post op. This morning I got n he scale thinking I had gained weight. Not a lot but felt like I had not done well in the last couple of days.n instead I found I had lost another 4 lbs making it a grand total of 96. Only 4 more to go to until the key mile stone of 100. I hope I make t. It has been hard but easier to live with as time has gone on. I want to lose another 25 to be the weight I was when I first got married. I was 28 and I looked and felt good about myself. This time it is again for me. But I would also like to live longer so I take care of my son with autism. My other ones still need me at 12 and 20 but my 15 year old is the baby of my life who will never leave home. He s the blessing I have but the burden I carry. I would not trade for the world, but it makes the rest of my life having to center around it. I as married up to 7 years ago. But as I got older he had a mid life crisis that involved a girl 17!years younger then me. In short he got her knocked up x2 and then left her and me and the kids and went for a family visit to Africa that has lasted 7 years. Maybe after all of this I will find myself someone who will love me and my great group of boys.

    Regretting surgery

You can say that again! But it gets better food can be your friend but not your only one in the long run. U know there are people who only eat food because they are hungry? You will become one too!

    Regretting surgery

Hang in there. It does get better. Do you have a bidder? If you don't call your doctor to get yourself one. Helped me to no end. I use it for the first 4 weeks. Really helped when I slept. You can get a script for it and should be covered by your insurance. Can get at medical supply store. Also pain meds take them! I had to get strong norco for the first week because the liquid didn't have enough narcotic in it. Used the liquid later and I had to take a dose usually after 5 hours into sleeping. But hold on you will get better and losing feels real good!
  25. I have been out and eat anything I want. I have gone out and had boneless chicken wings! Instead of the 10 to 12 I would have had pre op I had 3 cut up in small bites. I had fun and ate something I love ( I we as sleeved in May) I don't count calories but position size. I have lost 93 lbs so far and have a better relationship with food. It is still my drug but I it does not control my life like it use to!
