  1. I would like to do something local. I would also like to have places where people can go and talk about how this is a journey of faiths as well and practical work. Also maybe a group of women and men of faith. Groups based on age. I could he,prune bal group in person here in. Sacramento. I like working with groups of people. I do it as an RN.

    Northern California Sleevers?

I had dr elsami in May 2013 and it was the best. By jan 2014 I made my goal weight. I love this man so much I am on his web site telling people about my journey. Go to slimline solution.com and click on pt testimonial I am the white girl the third one down. I was 310 to start.ni hit 175 on jan 4 this year. 2 weeks before my 50 th bday. We went to Vegas for it. And we had a good time! What happened there will have to stay there! But I love my surgeon and pass out his caro people who I may miss and are wondering how you start on this road. I am a cheer leader in his office and have had meeting with people in the waiting room and ones he has ask me to meet who are thinking of doing the surgery but need someone to talk to. I love doing it. I like being able to change peopled lives! I need to become a admin on this site to help me in this passion!

    Sorry TMI vaginal discharge

Yeast infections can also be a problem when your blood sugar level is out of wack? Are you a type II? If you don't know you should get your a 1 c hemoglobin done ASAP. The yeast infection can be from there.

    Sleeved nurses.

I am a labor and delivery RN. I took the 6 weeks they gave me and got it extended to 8. At 6 weeks I just felt that my energy level was still up and down. By 8 weeks I was ready to get back into the game 100%. I had pain for the first 3 weeks. I am not the person who used the Vicodin once! I used it for 3 weeks plus. The binder that they gave me really helped. I wore it all the time for the first 3 to 4 weeks. I had a lot of pain at the bigger inc site that most of the work is done through. But really the energy level thing was the hardest part. I work 12 shifts overnight so I did not want to go back too soon and then feel bad and have to call out.
  5. I had my doubts up until they where putting the mask over my face in the OR. But 14 months later and 135 lbs off I am off all my type II meds and other support meds! Get healthy and live your life! I am and I am so happy I did.

    Coffee

I was a diet coke freak. At least 2 liters a day. Since I was sleeved in May 2013 I have had zero. I found this water called Avitae caffeine water. I get my water and caffeine in one. I work overnight and I am sorry I can't give up caffeine because I need to be up when my body says go to sleep! I get my water from Amazon or soon back to Office Depot online. If you live in the Midwest or east coast you can find it in a lot of stores.
  7. I too was in your shoes. I am 14 months out 135 lbs lost and happy with my life. I am even on my surgeons web site with before and after pics! Life is better with less weight and feeling better health wise. Sleeve on!
  8. If anything the surgery helped me lose the weight but will also help me keep it off. I am 13 months out now. I lost 135 lb and have been in maintain mode since January. I thought I could lose the weight but just as easily put it back on. Now I really would have to work to eat wrong and put it back. I can eat anything I want just in little bits. Hang in there and keep up th faith!

    EASY WAY OUT!

I have a son with autism. I had my come to Jesus monument and wanted to live longer too! One year ago on May 1st I had my surgery. 135lbs (310 down to 175) no type II meds any more and other meds. Go for it it's worth the risk. You risk dying more the longer you carry the weight. Maybe you even want another child? You want a life? Then take the tools you can get and change your life. I work overnight so eating like the rest of the world is not an option all the time. Live for your self and your family. You will be happy that you did!
  16. S I got dressed in my size 14 skinny jeans this morning I thanked God. One year ago today I got my sleeve. I went from 310 lbs down to 175. Size 24-26 to a14-12. My big thrill has been being off all my type II meds since Jan. I had my come to Jesus monument and did not want to die over something I had some control over. I work overnight and I am a single mother of 3 boys one with sever autism. I can't die now! I am also a RN some I have no excuse to say "I don't know?" I feel so much better. Thank you guys here your support. Without you all I may not have been able to make it. For those who have not done it, do if you think this tool will help. It is a tool and you need to change your relationship with food. It's my friend now but not my love!

I had Dr eslami too! He is great. I am on his web site I love him so much. We usually have enlarged livers from fatty liver. I had the 2 week liquid diet before surgery to help bring down the size before. It is my one year anniversary today! I have lost 135 lbs as of Jan. So hang in there the liver thing should not stop you. I had the type III thing too! Off all meds since Jan. My a1c as of this month 5.5 that is normal !

    I Got My Date....May 27th

Remember guys you will have a second guess just before you have the surgery! Hang tight and keep going. I was questioning myself up to me getting on the OR table and the mask going over my face. Almost one year later and 135 lbs gone I have not regretted it once! Keep up the good work and we are behind you 100 percent!

    Comorbidities and surgery

Yes! I had type II. If I did not have the surgery I was going to shot! My come to Jesus movement! I was sleeved May 1, 2013. 135 lbs lost later I am on no pills for it! I am healthy now and I look better. I have a son with autism and I can't die of something stupid! Neither can you. Take control of your life. You are not living now with all these health issues. They will not magically get better. You need to work for it. Please come to the light.

    coffee anyone?

I don't drink coffee but was a diet coke freak. I found a water with caffeine in it. Does the job. I work overnight so I need my fix. The water is called avitae water. You can get it on amazon or Office Depot .
  22. Just be careful just after the surgery. 50 lbs down and your chances of getting pregnant go way up. While I would like you to have another baby please try to wait a year after surgery. It's better for your body and mind. I have been sleeved for about a year but I am also an RN in labor and delivery at a hospital that handles high risk patients. You can successfully have babies after your surgery but you need to take care of you first.
  23. As an RN in a play with high risk pregnancy you don't have to do the test if you don't want to! If you failed the 1 hour then you should treat this like you have gestational diabetes. You need to watch the carbs and take your finger stick. They can do a1c hemoglobin to follow you. If they say they can't you need a new md.
  24. Girl I was second guessing it up to getting on the OR table and them putting the mask over my face! Best thing I have ever done for ME! You need to put yourself first so you can be more present in your life not just a food addict! I am now so can you. Questioning is good this surgery is not a magic cure. It's a tool. If you want to see someone who would not do the work watch my 600 lb life on TLC. The girl Pam had surgery and was still eating like she shouldn't. Lost 40 lbs pre op and no more. She did not see her 5 year old finish kindergarten because she couldn't walk. Why? Because she would not do the work and kept blaming everything else but herself. Her tool didn't work because she would not follow her Instuction booklet! If you read the booklet before you have better chance of losing the weight and changing your life.
