  1. No if it's not bad. They will give u one dose of an antibiotic during surgery anyway to cover you. I am an RN so I am speaking from experience. If its not really green what's coming out of you don't worry.
  2. Use the hospital gowns until u go home. You will have blood etc that can get on your stuff. Also use hospital socks at all times so you will not fall. I am a nurse so I know what I am talking about. Keep cute stuff for going home but bring a robe if u want. Long sleeves can get caught in IV lines

  6. Remember the hormones in your bodies are all out of wack sometimes when you are overweight. Also it is important to not get pregnant for at least 18 months post op. I am a labor and delivery RN and it is not good to have a baby right away . You can I work with a girl who had bypass and is on her 2nd child after losing 150 lbs. she now has a 20 year old 2and the one due next month! Same husband too had first at 18.
  7. I have had surgery before with the PCA that's the pain button. It worked great. I am also a nurse so I see how they work for others. Also I know everyone has different levels of pain. I am a wussie. But my job is to get people through pain because I am a labor and delivery nurse. I hear women yelling all the time and at me. I am more worried about pain at home post op. while I will be off work I am a single mother of 3boys one my 14year old has autism. He can be a hand full sometimes. Luckily I have a tall 20 year old that can help me handle him.
  8. I would like to know are people taking their pain meds at home in pill or liquid form?
