    Tomato soup

Don't forget tomatoes have alot of acid in them
  4. Today I get up take my vitamins and make 1/3 cup of egg whites with 2 slices of turkey ham. About an hour later I drink a protein shake lunch was a green salad with cucumbers tomatoes and fat free Italian dressing about an hour ago I had 1/3 cup of egg whites with 2 slices of smoked turkey ham I have some home make chicken soup for a snack if I get hungry before dinner and dinner I'm making Molly's chicken with garlic rice but I only eat less than a chicken thigh then I will have another protein shake as desert since I get the chocolate shakes its like a desert for me I kind of use it to trick myself in that way. That is a typical day for me. I'm 23 days post op and like you I have been able to eat almost anything without an issue just WAY less. But I do my dam best to try and make sure I eat clean and avoid almost all carbs and sugars.
  5. The barium test is a standard practice among surgeons who specialize in gastric surgeries. It is the best way to ensure there isn't even the slightest leak. It's done within the first 24 hours this way if anything is even detected they can fix it asap instead of waiting for the problem to come up later on. I knew about having the test before I had the surgery it was explained to me ahead of time. Now for me I drink Muscle Milk for my protein. It's 310 calories for 32 grams of protein even drinking that 5 times a day would put u at 1550 calories in just shakes alone. Then add in food. In order to gain 20 pounds in under 7 weeks you would need to average 3 pound weight gain a week. There is no way unless drinking weight gainer protein that someone ONLY 7 weeks out gains that type of weight AND there surgeon tells them they stretched out there sleeve. You CAN NOT stretch out that sleeve on a basic liquid diet it's physically impossible. I have to agree with others that if her surgeon did a sleeve on her and told her that then she needs to see a different surgeon to ensure he is being honest with her in the surgery that he did and 2 that it was performed properly and correctly.
  6. Ok another thing since you responded the way you did is look back on your posts of the food you stuff down your throat. A big part of the success of this surgery is how and what you eat after the surgery. Try eating healthy foods not foods LOADED with carbs and junk. That's what got you in this situation to begin with. They having a salad. I bet if you did you wouldn't have gained 20 pounds after your so called "sleeve" surgery.
  7. I I almost forgot I haven't found 1 surgeon who doesn't order a barium swallow upper gi X-ray to ENSURE you don't have a leak that is standard practice in EVERY US hospital
  8. I just want to say this "IF" she is taking in all that protein she claims "IF" it is possible to gain the weight ONLY if she is using a weight gainer formula protein drink. Some weight gainers have as much as 1800-2000 calories per serving. But I was sleeved on 1/7/13 I'm down about 25 post op and I can eat. I eat more than I see people posting here. I can eat almost a full 18 ounces of soup at a time but can only handle 2 eggs with a slice of turkey ham and 1 slice of cheese. I've been reading this blog since it was started and been researching this non stop and it is physically impossible for this to happen if she was sleeved. It just can't happen in that short of a time period and even more so for someone to gain 20 pounds in 7 weeks is a ton of weight in a short period as well. Something is very fishy about this blog.

I was the same way with being hungry I'm 16 days post op and to be honest I can handle any food I try no problem what I did find that has helped me was eating the cream soups and eggs once I switched to them I felt full and satisfied also eat thin sliced deli meat with cheese I've even had steak chicken things like that its all about your tolerance and how you feel at least that's my opinion
