Would You Have Weight Loss Surgery Again?
Takingcontrol replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I am Post-op....5 1/2 months...I HAVE walked the walk....& I totally agree! We ALL were told of the risks...we agreed to the surgery! If you didn't fully understand the risks..than shame on you for having 85% of your stomach removed without fully understanding! It is NOT easy...but I would def do it again! -
Concerns about getting the Sleeve
Takingcontrol replied to luckystarr23's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 5 mo out & the only issue I have had is dizziness sometime...but I have a tendency to have low BP when I loose weight. I can eat anything, just smaller amounts. I am a "slow" loser...prob because my age & the years of dieting has screwed up my metabolism...but I AM loosing! This is the best thing I have ever done for myself! -

How do I let go of the fear of Trusting myself again?
Takingcontrol replied to Lunaya's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The good news is you WILL loose weight & prob pretty fast with your BMI. That should boost your ego & keep you motivated for quiet awhile. Yes, you can blow it & abuse your sleeve....but you should not ever be able to get where you are now. Just stay as focused as you are & you should do great! You WILL slip....we ALL do, & the good thing is the sleeve has its own way of reminding you it's there...& get back on track...just learn to listen to it! Good luck & keep us posted! :-) -

Takingcontrol replied to mocanitanj's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would suggest you get an app (like my fitness pal) so you can keep track of e erything you put in your mouth...it MAKES you be accountable! Then do the bootcamp (search it on here) it will get you back on target. & finally, refocus & remember why you did this in the first place. Simply reboot yourself & start again! You CAN do this!! -
