    Non-supportive wives?

I agree with what was said on the other thread...maybe she's feeling insecure & afraid what might happen when your looking & feeling good! I know many years ago when I lost over 100 lbs & my husband started losing too..I became insecure & jealous! I would try & sabotage his weight loss by making his fav meals, etc. It was my problem...not his! Now we are both on this journey again....me sleeved & he trying on his own...but I feel totally different this time & we support each other. Maybe if you assure her how much you love her & talk about all the things you two will soon be able to do TOGETHER....she will get on board. Good luck on your journey!

  10. I'm going to have to have mine checked...I know I have been deficient in the past. Anyone know of a goos calcium supplement? I just read that I'm supposed to be taking 2 of the chewables I have...& their way too sweet for me! :-/
  11. I wish I could just drink protein shakes! My surgeon said it's not good for me & he'd much rather I eat my protein instead of drink it! I still have to try & squeeze in a shake or I don't get my protein in! :-/
  12. Ditto...I've lost & regained this 100 lbs so many times! I want it gone forever & trust me....I tried everything before surgery...for me it was a no brainer!

    Pain

I agree with Traci...gas x strips are amazing!
  14. My surgeon said he no longer does the bypass...only the sleeve. He said there were too many complications & therefore it was Safer for him, & his patients....& the end results were the same.
  15. For me the "dumping syndrome" associated with the bypass was something I wanted to avoid! My sister had the bypass, she had DS bad...& a yr & 1/2 later still does!
  16. could this be the reason for our "stalls"??? http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?t=365499&page=1&pp=15
