So im curious....
Takingcontrol replied to Thatguy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 6 months out & tonight I just had 1/2 of a small burger at my grandaughter's Bday party...& I think I might explode! The bread kinda sneaks up on you...when you feel it, you've eaten too much! With that said...this is prob the second time I've even attempted bread since surgery...I just don't reall want it! -
Constipation is a big deal with this procedure. I would speak to your dr & prob prepare to begin a regular regiment. I never had any issues with constipation, but after the sleeve...I Do! :-/

Abdomeninal swelling ( fluid buildup?)

Hopefully it's just the inflammatory response & all will be ok. Better to get checked to make sure though! -
Bathroom issue
Takingcontrol replied to Kerstalker's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 6 mo out & have had some REALLY bad BR moments! I now take a dulcolax once a week or so, when I feel I'm slowing down. We don't eat much = our intestines are not stimulated to move what little we have out. Even if we go every few days, with me at least....it's not much! & there's still more backing up! With the dulcolax...it empties everything...like a good cleaning. I don't use it on a consistent basis, don't want to get dependent on it, just whenever I feel I need it! -
Honestly, who has had zero problems
Takingcontrol replied to sparker's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
6 mo out, surgery was a breeze....easiest surgery I've ever had! My only "problem" ( if you want to call it that) is occasional constipation...but I can now tell when I'm slowing down & take something, so that's an easy fix! Absolutely NO regrets, best thing I've ever done for myself! -

curious how people are eating...
Takingcontrol replied to anggeorge's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
II am 5 1/2 mo out. I can eat anything...nothing bothers me, but I have chosen to use the sleeve as the tool it is & I have changed my eating habits! I eat healthy & focus on proteins first,..usually fish, turkey or chicken, than veggies if I have room. I eat 600-800 cal a day usually. I don't focus on cal....just protein & low carbs. I admit, I do indulge myself every once in awhile & have a bite or two of something I really want...but the majority of the time I stay on target. This is a lifestyle change for me...not a diet! Good luck! -
It was a Super HEB! Funny, the one in Beaumont didn't have them either...just the one in Atoscocita. That's the only place I have found them!
