So glad I found this thread!!! I start pureed food Thursday. Does anybody have a good protein powder that's unflavored that can be added to stuff like mashed potatoes?

The nurses at the hospital told me no bathing, but I forgot to ask my surgeon at my post op. I'm 9 days out. i want to soak!

My doctor told me that my incisions were pretty much healed up and I could start picking off the glue. I filled up the bathtub so my back could get the heat but I still had my stomach out of the water, so I think I am okay

I am a kindergarten teacher and am attempting to go back Monday. That will be 11 days total. Hopefully I'm ready!

btw...what is a NUT?

It's been 1 week. I feel really good, but I never want to eat and when I force myself to drink a protein shake I gag. Today I was supposed to start on my supplements from Bariatric advantage and I gagged after chewing the vitamins... Any tips?

I have a Vitamin Shoppe in my town and they carry Syntrax nectar! I'm going to pick some up to try! Thanks!!!

Thank you. I am doing broth, really, really soupy Cream of wheat.... The problem is, my surgeon wants me to drink three protein shakes a day. I just can't do it.... I have tried thinning them out with milk. They just make me feel awful. Ugh!

I don't know... Thank God for this support group. I think I have all sorts of problems but they seem pretty common. Gas pains set in today (5 days post op).....I am so scared i'm going to hurt my insides. I am still pretty tired. I so badly want a quad americano from starbucks. So....my surgery was 4/4.....I bled and had to have a transfusion. I was in the hospital for 4 days total. They did a million dollar mark up on me...checked for EVERYTHING....my post op is Thursday. SInce I have been discharged I have diarrhea, the roof of my mouth is killing me, and I am sooooo tired. I have not taken rx meds since Sunday. I am taking this week off from work. I am a very educated person, and a pretty articulate writer, but rereading this, it sounds like a kindergartner wrote it.....that sums it up...I feel like i'm all out of sorts. Foggy. Can anybody relate? On a positive note....I'm down 20lbs (including weight loss from my pre op diet)
