    All of my December sleevers...

Ok, this cold and fever is kicking my ass. I'm a HORRIBLE sick person. If the fever would just go down, that would be great. No more body aches too would complete the package.

    All of my December sleevers...

At last check a week ago, I've lost a total of 56 pounds. I'm below 300 for the first time in a long time. I have had issues with my iron levels and now my vitamin D is low. Unfortunately, both make you tired, lucky me! I haven't been exercising as much as I would like to because my energy is so low some days. I'm fighting my second bad cold since surgery now, awesome. I have enough snot for 3 people. Hopefully it will pass soon.

    All of my December sleevers...

It's nice to have support on here. Other than my doctors, I can count on one hand how many people know what I weigh. There's no judgment on here about that. It's such a blessing that no matter what, we have this safe place to go to for advice, to vent or support. I have the option of going to a support group here in Louisville once a month but it's difficult to break away from everyday life to do that sometimes. Thank you all for being a shoulder or an ear when I need it.

    All of my December sleevers...

Undercover: I completely understand all of that. My boyfriend eats potato chips in front of me. He weighs 175 and is 6'1" so a far cry from my issues. I don't think it's in malice, they just have their habits too. We drew the short straws in our bodies ability to metabolize those high calorie foods. I "cheat" on occasion because I think I'll go crazy if I try to live like a monk. I just make sure the cheating isn't crazy choices. Or I'll have a bite to satisfy my desire. I've lost 50 pounds since surgery on Dec 3. It could be more I suppose but I'm still very pleased with my results. Just don't let the bastards and b*****s of the world get ya down is what I live by.

    All of my December sleevers...

Bos123: I'm actually at 305 right now and started out at 355. It's been fun to see the results from all my efforts. I have been tired but my iron is at 31. I've increased my dose of iron to 29mg 2x daily. Exercise is starting slowly. I am on my feet running around at work all the time so that helps some.

    All of my December sleevers...

I'm finally at the point where it doesn't hurt to exercise. I started the journey at 355 and had surgery on Dec 3 and I weighed in at 311 2 weeks ago. For those of us that have had many years with weightloss, it's exciting to see results, be able to exercise without pain, fit into smaller clothes and all the other exciting realizations. We are finding our voices, strength, power and determination. ......let's ROAR with success December group!!

    All of my December sleevers...

Here's a tip for water intake. I used to hate drinking water. I now add sliced citrus to my Tervis 24oz tumbler. I'll drink 3-4 a day. I have ruby red grapefruit and an orange slice in my water now. It adds so much flavor and the slices stay nice all day. I'll probably grow some peppermint this year and add that too. Other herbs would be good like basil and rosemary. Think outside of the box. I cooked professionally for 10 years in 4 & 5 star restaurants so it's a blessing and a curse, lol.

    All of my December sleevers...

I start each day with a protein shake. It's a good way to control carbs and calories and excellent start with protein for the day. Sleeved on Dec 3 and down 44 pounds.

    All of my December sleevers...

I can't imagine weighing myself every day. I weigh once a week at my Dr's office and sometimes I wait 2 weeks. I can't obsess over it daily.

    All of my December sleevers...

I need advice for water intake too. I manage a men's clothing store and I'm constantly on the floor helping customers. I'm low on iron (31) and was told to up that dosage to 2 times a day. The low iron has made me tired and I'm supposed to work 6 hour shifts but getting everything accomplished in that time frame is a challenge. Yesterday, I worked 9 + hours because we were busy. I know I don't drink enough water but between work, not drinking 30 min before eating and 1 hour after, I feel like it's impossible. I knew before surgery this would be hard. I was sleeved on Dec 3 and have lost 36 but am at a 2 week stall. Calorie intake is maybe 500-600 a day. Getting protein in at required 70g is challenging too. I feel like my job is holding back progress. The stall began the week after returning to work but I gotta pay bills. So frustrating!!!

    Valentines Day Challenge!

Weighed in today and was only down .02 after my weigh in last week. I'm a little bummed but just had surgery on Dec 3 and I'm down 36 pounds so far. I know everyone talks about a stall.....guess this is my first one. I think we all can relate to one another on how frustrating it can be to not loose and be eating so little. My boyfriend is supportive and we're going to exercise more. It's great to have this supportive forum!

    All of my December sleevers...

I was sleeved on Dec 3, 2 days before my birthday, and I'm down 37 pounds so far. It is difficult to get as much protein in as we are supposed to. My Dr recommends 70 grams a day. I have 1 protein shake a day and will try to supplement the remaining with veggie burgers, Greek yogurt and protein bars. What are others using to get in protein? I absolutely can't do whey protein. Gag!!!
