    Beautiful! Congratulations on your success!
  3. Well I will just say that I am glad when someone is happy with their doctor/experience no matter where the went. I am VERY happy with my experience in the states I will say though. I was lucky enough for my insurance to pay all but $2500. we're all not that lucky.

    Not again...

So how does one lose almost two pounds in about an hour? The non glamorous way of course! Thank you to suppositories, I am not full of crap anymore. I have been having horrible constipation over the last week. Haven't had a bm for six days. Finally gave up and ran to walgreens to get the suppository and it worked, thank god. I guess benefiber is going to be in my daily routine.

Tips on buying a used elliptical?

I bought mine new a couple years ago on amazon for under $600. It's a gold gym brand. I am happy with it. It doesn't have major bells and whistles, but it tracks speed, distance, calories burned, time and pulse.

    Not again...

I did it today at like 5pm and had my bm by 6. My guts are cramping still, but not as bad as earlier. I would definitely do it when you're home and near a toilet and have lots of time. I used it as a last resort because I had so much discomfort.

    Not again...

What finally worked was the dulcolax suppository. I was taking peri colace for several days, but it didn't help. I hope it gets better for you. I know it sucks!

    Help please

I had pain by my large incision for a while. I was told it was normal and it was from the cutting of nerves and muscle. Take pain meds if you need them and if you're worried, be sure tocall your Dr. I hope you start feeling better.

    Protein~what am i doing wrong

I'm in the Chicago area and Walmart carries PB2. If you go to Walmart, check it out. I also have a problem drinking protein shakes. They taste disgusting to me now.
  13. I take it daily. I hope it helps, but at least my nails look great now
  14. A pound is a pound. It's the mass/size that is different.

Hard Boiled Eggs-How I Love Thee

It has come to my attention that if I could eat a hard boiled egg for every meal, I would. I won't, of course, because it is not ideal. But they are sooo good and my sleeve craves them. I do have one for breakfast every morning.

Hard Boiled Eggs-How I Love Thee

I feel sorry for them too. Funny thing is, I never really ate them before I had the surgery, but now I love them.

    ARRRRRGGGGGG!

You're not alone! I have lost 50 pounds now as well and have only went down one size When I look in the mirror I don't feel like I look like i have lost 50 pounds either. I just expected to see a bigger difference than there is. I need to lose alot though. I want to lose 100 pounds more.

Don't you just love the inequality?

Wow! How ignorant! That is all I can comment at this point. Entitlement is correct.
  19. I'm not married and do not have kids, but the day before surgery I showed my mom where all my important documents and insurance info was. Also made her promise that if something happened to me that she would keep and take care of my fur babies herself and not get rid of them.
  20. I am 2 months and my NUT said I should aim for 1000 calories a day. It was hard getting that many in, but I added nuts and it's easier. I feel better now that I am getting more calories in. I was getting like 700 and felt week and felt like I was in starvation mode. I had a stall a couple weeks ago, which ended shortly after I upped my calories. I lost 5 pounds in a week.

Who is pre-op and who is post op?

2 months and 1 week post op. Down 52 pounds. Thankfully no complications.
  22. This proves how important sessions and discussions are with the surgical teams before making this commitment. Going into this is a huge deal and all outcomes and life changes need to be understood.
  23. Agreed. I only took mine for a few days after only right before bed. That helped me sleep.

No longer invisible, and that's what I wanted, I thought ...

Wow. Great topic. I feel the same way. I have always just "been there" to my people. Sometimes I feel asexual haha because I never have dates or guys interested in me. I've only lost 45 pounds but already notice a change. I had a good looking guy that I work with comment to me the other day after kind of making me uncomfortable because I could sense him staring at me. He said you look different, you look nice. I was so thrown off because I never get comments like that and I seriously had to think about how I was to respond. It was so weird to me.

    Grocery shopping prep

I over bought big time as well. I have cartons of broth that would've lasted me years . It worked out good because the USPS have a local food drive and I donated two bags of canned goods to it from all the over stock I had. It looks like you will have a good variety of flavors. Good luck
