    Feeling so defeated

Thank you everyone. I am most definitely going to get a second opinion.

Why we eat what we eat

I am one of the lucky ones who has not had any sort of negative reaction to any of the foods I have eaten. I don't make it habit, but I can do sugar. As a matter of fact I had a slice of cheesecake the size of my finger at a Christmas party Friday. Personally, I don't like all the fake sugar stuff, unless it is stevia or truvia. I generally get things with no added sugar and add stevia or truvia if needed.
  4. Awesome job you two! Congratulations.

    Acne prone skin..

I had horrible acne flare ups since I was a teen. I do remember when I started using coco oil there was an initial breakout, but I stuck with it for those few days and I have never looked back. I have been using it for years. It is a natural antibacterial and anti fungal. It isn't for everyone, but I have converted a handful of friends and we all love it. Good luck, I know how frustrating it is.

    Acne prone skin..

I use coconut oil and love it. I use it as a base moisturizer in the morning and use it to take my makeup off and moisturizer at night. I recommend it to everyone.

    Birthday! ???? no cake?!?!

Or choco pudding add some crushed graham crackers and it is heavenly! Happy birthday
  8. I enjoy popcorn when I go to the movies. I make mine at home in my air popper, spray some olive oil on it and sprinkle flavoring on it. It isn't nearly as bad as movie theatre popcorn and just as yummy.

Why do OhYeah! protein bars have to be so effing delicious

I understand! Though I haven't tried the Oh Yeah bars, I have one Quest bar a day. I love them and look forward to having mine. I stick to the one because they're 1/4 of my daily caloric intake at this point.

    Suppliments/ vitamins question

Are a lot of you taking more than one multi vitamin a day? My doc said I just need to take one flinestone one a day. I take one flinestone, one b12, one probiotic, one b1, and two fish oil.

    Does anyone know the reason?

Man, that seems pretty strict. I was permitted Fresh fruit and veggies after I think 2 months, but I could have very soft cooked veggies earlier than that I think.
  14. I am over six months out and still get some noises once in a while. I find that the only one that notices it is me though. I have said before to people I was with oh man did you hear that tummy gurgle ? And the say the didn't hear anything... It will get better

    Caffeine addict

I am allowed and drink coffee pretty much every day. It is a liquid so it will go through pretty easily and won't stretch the sleeve like someone earlier mentioned. It is the acid in it that is concerning. I am allowed regular but choose to drink decaf. One I was weened from caffine due to surgery, it wasn't a big deal to go to decaf.

    just blown away....

You look great! I have to ask... Our stats are basically the same, but your shape looks way better than mine. How tall are you? I am 5'6 and at 230 I feel like I still have a huge belly, but you don't at all.

    I ate an egg...

A month or two out, an egg filled me up good. Now, being over 6 months, I eat a sausage link or two small pieces of turkey bacon with the egg to fill me up for a couple hours.

    Pain Level after Surgery

I am a lucky one who had very little pain. Discomfort, yes, but totally manageable. I only took my painkillers before I went to sleep to knock me out. Other than that, I didn't take pain pills.

    NSV- I'll take it!

I am going to consider this a NSV. I think I am actually on a regular schedule for my period! It has been probably 15 years since I have been any sort of regular. Going on three months now, and on schedule. Don't know why I am so excited lol I guess the whole waiting game of having it every few months before is gone.
  22. Give it a try and see how you do. I know by my 3 month appointment my NUT upped my calories to 1000. I am over 6 months out now and still rarely get to 1000. Thats not saying I am not hungry though. Because I do get hunger I just try my damnest to ignore the big meanie Good luck to you! You sound like you're doing great and I love your recipes. I haven't tried any yet, but I hope to soon!

  24. We all lose in different intervals. I don't think you should/need to feel discouraged. In months you will forget that this and it won't seem like a big deal. I haven't lost a pound in a week. It happens. Perk up buttercup You didn't gain it all overnight, don't expect to lose it overnight.

People don't really die from VSG right?

First, congrats for your decision to have VSG and change your life. It is a step forward. With that being said, there are risks for having pretty much any medical procedure. A friend of the family died from a freak accident during an angiogram. Yes, people have died. The chances are very low, but unfortunately it can happen.
