Vines, She not banded yet! But if she was food would not be good. Aileena, I bought me a big container of whey Protein powder at Cost-Co (like Sams Club) and I got the vanilla. Im able to mix fresh fruit and or sugar free Ice cream.. Just a small amount for taste.

Welcome to bandland. Take it easy You are going to do great! -
Oh gosh I was just thinking about that... See Im in a community college and since its summer term all the skinny girls are wearing them tight shorts that barely pull up. Anyway when they go to sit down they show thier thong. I personally thinks that is very trashy. Like a lack of grooming type.. I dont know.. Its pretty gross if you ask me. I say "Pull up them shorts and stop showing your 'Crack A Smile'" LOL

Some questions I have...Please answer...
TrishS replied to Lisa Marie C's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Im new at being banded but I will go ahead and try to answer you. 1. How long were you out of work? I dont work, but I was back at school 2 weeks after surgery. I think it all depends on how you feel after. Some people will go back to work 1 week after surgery. 2. Explain to me what getting "stuck" feels like. Im not going to lie, It Hurts! It feels like a sharp pain in your chest and it seems like you cant swallow, well that is what it felt like to me...but to avoid this, take small bites and chew very well. 3. How soon after surgery can you begin to excercise? I think you would need the stitches that are placed on the inside to heal really well. So heavy duty workouts I would wait about 4-6 weeks. Right after surgery you want to start walking right away. 4. Were you afraid to eat after the surgery? Its not that I was afraid to eat after sugery.. It was that I couldnt eat after surgery. You need the time to heal before you can eat solids. Its always good to go by what your Dr. tells you. And when you do eat.. Take small bites and chew chew chew! 5. If you have a spouse/significant other.. How did they handle your weight loss? My husband is very happy. Its not about me looking good, he happy that Im going to be healthy. We want to grow old together and I think the Lapband is going to help me do that. hehehe I hope I helped a little, Like I said im still new at all this bandster stuff. Hopefully you will get a good variety of answers! -
I dont have a fill yet, I can feel my port. Actually I can still see it pop out.. Like under my skin, not "really" popping out... you know what I mean... hehe
-
GREAT JOB!!!!!! You are doing wonderful! I cant wait to see thoes 200's as well even though im still in the healing process im not to worried about it yet. But seeing your numbers I know I have something great to look forward to. Congratulations!!!
-
aileena, I also had to do a liquid diet for a week before surgery. Its easy the first few days and then it just gets harder. But its well worth it. You will do fine.
-
It could still be sore, Im not sure... someone else might be able to answer you better. As for me I would call my Dr. its always better to be safe then sorry. Good Luck and I hope you feel better soon!
-
