Oh I am so glad everything went good for you. Yeah the port replacement isnt nearly as bad. Glad your back and doing well!

Yeah my Dr. is Smith.. He is very nice. My complications were, a port leak, port replacement, port infection I had a 6 inch hole in my stomach for 4 months and had to pack it everyday. I got a band leak and just got that replaced Aug. 31.. while in surgery Dr. Smith cut a hole in my stomach while removing the old band, he had to open me up and I was in surgery for 6 1/2 hours I have a 9 inch cut down my stomach... I look like a map! And now, I am just hours away from getting another fill. It takes me 5 hours to drive up to pueblo.

Oh yeah you are very new to it all. and please dont let my troubles get you down about the band... sometimes things just happen... but I am in high hopes still. you can contact me anytime too at ZebraLuck76@aol.com I am going in for a fill this Friday so mybe we will plan something for next week.. and I will invite the other lady I know from RR to join us. Its growing so much out there I dont know a good place to meet, so think about that and let me know and we will plan it. Im so excited!!!!! I need the lapband support and good friends!

Sometimes I wish I went to Cannon City for my band... I really like my Dr. in Pueblo, but I have had so much trouble, sometimes I wonder if it my fault or his. But I am 70 pounds down and I think it is still worth it, even though I question it sometimes. I will be in Pueblo This Friday.. Nov. 3rd for a fill. I am not sure yet if I will be staying in Pueblo or go to the Springs. I have been wanting to go to Castle Rock and do some Chirstmas shopping at the outlet mall. I tell ya CO is my 2nd home. Kat... I got to plan a trip to just go vist you out that way, I dont think I even been to your neck of the woods in NM... I have been almost everywhere but there. My husband and I love to just hop in the car and drive, maybe next time we will drive out that way.

Like Kat, Im not really from CO but I feel like its my 2nd home! I travel to Pueblo CO for all my band needs. I also like to stay in Colorado Springs a lot.

For thoes who know my story 65 pounds is REALLY good for me.. I am happy with the weight I have lost I am not sure yet if it was all worth it.. but I know one day it will be! I have my head up and I am ready to prove it to everyone else that I CAN do this!

I really dont think there is Lapband anything in New Mexico... I travel to Pueblo, CO for everything.

congrats on the new baby. I know that it can be hard getting back on track with bandster rules. maybe if you start recording everything you are eating that will help. Did you get a fill after having the baby? or if not are you thinking about getting one? Well I hope things work out for you soon!

Hey everyone I am finally home!!! oh its so nice to be home again. The ride home was a little rough but I pulled through. I have shoulder pain like you wouldnt belive, my left shoulder has been hurtting my since Friday, It hurts to breathe, cough or even move it. I can not lay down on the bed because of my shoulder. I have not been able to sleep in 3 days I doze off for 30 min or so on and off... I might get 2 hours of napping in one night. I feel I am going crazy!!! Anyway I got my Staples out today and they up steri-strips look pretty funny being i have the long 9 incher running from my chest down my tummy. I am still bloated, and its hard for me to even get a protien shake down... I try to water it down as much as I can. Well I am hanging in there and I hope everyday will get better... the first time was so much easier

im with you on this, I am 3 days post - op and I think I am starving, but then the thought of food makes me sick. I think its because I am in a lot of pain. I am on full liquids nothing thicker then paint. but I have been just drinking protien shakes, apple jucie and melted ice cream. If feels like I am eating a full meal. Hang in there it will get better.

Hi everyone, I cant stay long its hard to sit. My tummy looks like a road map of staples. I cant bellive i was in surgery for 6 hours and had to be opened up. I am so much pain, this is nothing like the 1st time. I am here still Pueblo CO, Im staying at the Hapton Inn just on the outside of town. I am on Pain meds (a spray through the nose) Antibiotic, Nausea patch, and then the nore gasx, tyenol, mortrin. Other then that Im okay......I will post pictures of my stomach as soon as I get back home. Im to much of a risk to take the trip back home yet. My dr. wants to see me on tues. then we will go from there The incision down my tummy is about 9 inches long then I have 4 other incisions al over. okay i have to go. thanks for your prayers, Im not out of the water yet.

Trish is still in the surgery center, for tonight. Tomarrow morning, we will probibly be transfering her to a hospital. We'll have to see what happens when the doctor comes in at 7 am. She is in a lot of pain. From what we can tell, her cut runs from her chest all the way down to her belly button. It has been stapled together. If everything goes well, she will get the staples out on tuesday morning and we'll be home on tuesday evening. From there, she will be bedridden for a at least a few weeks, but while I am at work, my Mom will send a nurse to keep an eye on her so she will be fine. She has a lot of people that care about her. She wanted me to tell every one thanks for the blessings and the hugs and the prayers.

Well my wound is finally healed up! I still have a big dip in my tummy but the hole it self is closed. It took about 4 months and I am so glad I dont have to worry about it anymore. I can put cute pretty things on my dresser now, instead of it looking like a Dr.'s office! So I will be leaving out to CO either Tuesday or Wednsday of next week. I did start a diet, just drinking slimfast and dinner being very healthy and very small. I am very excited to finally be here and getting rebanded. I really hope it works this time. Not that it didnt work before, I am down almost 60 pounds, but I should be down more then that. I am worried in a lot of ways as well. I hope the band I have now is okay and not eroded. I would hate to wake up without a band. So keep me in your prayers next week. And hopefully by the 1st I will be a "Real" bandster again! I will hang out with you all more offten too! Thanks for everything all your support and freindship, This year was very hard for me but all of you have been such wonder friends!!! WOOHOO Im getting re-BANDED!!!!!!!!!!

Hey everyone I am here in CO... and my surgery seems even closer... I am preparing myself for the worse. either way I am ready to do this and get this done!!!! boy I could use a shot of vodka right about now!!!! LOL Oh and as you know i have my laptop so either me or my hubby will let you all know how i am doing.

OMG I am getting so scared!!!!! I dont know why... but it has been making me sick! I already know what to suspect and I still get butterflies and the back on my neck feels like its on fire!! I need the support! I sometimes ask myself why am i going to put myself thourgh all this again! UGH!!!!!! okay maybe tomorrow I will feel better!

I would make a journal of what you are eating, try not to eat things that "go down easy" but you still need your protiens, if you can eat meats... is it that you are taking to big of bites? I know even after 16months of being banded I still forget. I think over all you need to talk to your Dr. and make sure that there is nothing wrong with the band... then if all is ok then go to the ENT, I have had to go there a couple of times from a PB... I hope everything works out... Take Care

Congrats!!!! on your band date.. you will be banded before you know it! About the amount of food, I had the same problem, I always worried about not being to handle to eat the things I like in small portions. but you know it works out it really does.... You will get that "full" feeling as though you didnt have the band but you will eat so much less..... its it great! Its hard starting off but it all works out! Thanks guys!!!! I know I have been thourgh a lot but non of it compairs to what I go thourgh just being fat! That is the worst even more so then the trouble i have had with my band. But I know this time around it will work!!!
