  1. Hi all, I had surgery on 1/16/13. I'm down 136.7 lbs, still about 40-50 lbs away from my goal. I was 347.5 pre-op, 339.5 DOS, 210.8 today. Even though I'm closer to goal, it still feels like such a long road ahead of me. Unfortunately, my kryptonite at the moment are peanut M&M's and moscato wine...I really try to limit myself to once a week treats (it's getting harder and harder!!!). I will definitely need to get my arms done before anything else, I think that's what sucks the most for me, knowing I have to shell out tons of cash just to get my body back to the way it should be. I kick myself in the ass almost daily because of those thoughts.

  11. Hi all & congratulations on losses and your decisions! I was sleeved on 1/16. HW was 350ish, DOS 339.5, today's weight is 318.6. I was amazed at my recovery, I pretty much slept for the first two days home. I went back to work 5 days later an have just felt pretty darn good! I went to soft foods yesterday and have INCREDIBLE heartburn with refried Beans, Prilosec isn't even touching it. Did very well with cottage cheese last night, my tummy talked about it for at least an hour. I seem to be able to tolerate any fluids and can finish a rather large amount of Soup at one sitting but on soft foods I can only do about 1/4-1/2 cup at a time. I'm tracking my calories on an iPhone app and I'm trying to get anywhere between 600-900. I didn't go through any regret phases, I was just anxious the week prior to surgery. It might sound stupid, but I was just so upset I'd never be able to pig out at a Chinese buffet again. Looking at it now I can't believe I stressed out about it. My husband and I go with a group of friends on a 7 day cruise on Oct. 27. Excited to buy a real bathing suit this year! Take care!!! <3
  12. Hi guys, It's been a really rough week for me and nobody really understands but the people who've gone through it/are about to, so I thought I'd make my first post here. Getting sleeve done on 1/16, EGD for hernia the day prior. Today was day 2 of my pre-surgery liquid diet. I wanted to kill everybody today. My husband couldn't do anything right, my coworkers, etc. I began to doubt my decision. My husband ate fried burritos in front of me tonight, my coworkers ate Breakfast burritos in front of me this morning. I know people shouldn't have to tip toe around me but I felt it was a little insensitive. I'm worried about how much it will hurt, I'm worried I might die, have a leak, make the wrong decision. I would just like to hear some words of encouragement, lol!
