I do not enjoy food anymore

I can relate. Lately when I get hungry nothing sounds good. Not even junk food. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a perfect eater because I still get cravings but for the most part food doesn't really excite me anymore.
  3. Thanks, it helps to see what others have experienced since surgery. I think I'm still stuck in my old head. I was never able to stick to diets and I always lost a bit then completely stopped and then regained. I'm just waiting for that to happen. I feel like this surgery should also come with a weekly therapy session!

    Please be honest

Honestly, the pain wasn't bad for me. It was hard moving around because the big incision hurt but I just stayed in bed a lot. I was up and walking the night of my surgery up and down the halls with the help o a nurse. I was eager to get up and start doing things on my own. I went home the evening after my surgery. That next morning I woke up on pain and was throwing up. I called my surgeon and they called me in anti nausea medicine and told me to take double the dose of my pain Meds an I managed fine. I wouldn't let the pain scare you too much, it's not that bad. Good luck!
  5. I know everyone is different, I'm just curious what others average. I have lost 51 pounds since I started the pre op diet to date and my surgery was January 14th. I lost 20 on the diet and 31 with the sleeve. I feel like I should be losing more and a lot of times I'll stay the same weight for a week then all the sudden five pounds will just drop off. I'm so grateful for every pound lost, I guess I just anticipated the loss to be more steady rather than sporadic so I'm just curious what others have experienced.

    HURT BY COWORKERS

I had a similar thing happen at my job when I went out on maternity leave. I was the one who made sure we always gave cards, recognized birthdays and big events. I worked with mainly men and we even would throw them baby showers when their wives were expecting and I got nothing. Forget them! You are a good person and what comes around goes around!

    Incision pain

Thanks, just got back from the surgeon. They think one of my internal stitches popped. Back on pain Meds and bed rest and if I start getting nausea off to the ER I go because this could turn into a bowel obstruction. Not fun

    Urgent care

    Hope you're feeling better!
  11. So I am three weeks post surgery today. Have been feeling great and tolerating all foods I try. My big incision has always been more sore than the others but has been really bothering me the past few days more than it was before. It's not infected, not red, not swollen, and looks fine. The other small incisions are mainly just itchy. Did anyone else experience this in the healing process? It's not an unbearable pain just more noticeable than before and it surprised me because I thought I should be done with the pain by now.
  12. I started at 339, day of surgery weight was 319. I have no idea how I lost 14 pounds in one day. Although when I typically start a diet I drop quickly and then stop which is why I guess I'm a little freaked out right now. Thanks for all the support. I feel like I should throw my scale out because I know it's making me crazy.
  13. Yes, I realize this may sound like a silly question but I guess I expected that I would be dropping weight very quick after surgery and then it would slow down.
  14. I was sleeved on 1/14. I lost 20 during pre op diet and then came home a day after surgery and had lost 14 more. Since then I lost two pounds but that's it. I know I should be super excited about what I did lose (and I am) but the neurotic side of me is trying to figure out how I'm not losing everyday when I'm eating. I'm on clear liquid diet and get to start Protein shakes again tomorrow. Is this normal weight loss after surgery? I have this fear that this is all I'm going to ever lose.

    January Newbies ! Progress ?

I was just sleeved on the 14th and I'm down a total of 34 pounds including my two week pre op diet. Can already feel a difference in my clothes and I'm more comfortable in my skin. Had a rough day yesterday with pain and nausea but both have gotten better today. Sipping as much water and crystal light as I can!
