Wow you look wonderful keep up the great work -
I was in the process of all the prelim things you need prior to the sleeve then Hurricane Sandy hit and the hospital that I was doing this in NYU was hit hard . The hospital I work at went under water and I'm still not back to work. I have my husbands insurance at least so that's not a problem . I just feel like I'm hitting walls ( I went for EGD and I have an ulcer and Hiatal Hernia . I've been very down because I have to wait at least 10 weeks on medication until I have another EGD to see if it clears up . So I'm probably looking at July for surgery 9 months later then I thought I would have it and steadily gained more weight because if the stress issues I'm going this Friday to see the surgeon again to see when we can finally get the ball rolling on this . I pray it's sooner than later !!

Excellent job keep it up!! -
I was all ready mentally to have surgery then hurricane Sandy hit and I lost my job I still have my husbands insurance so thats not the issue. My head is playing tricks on me now that I delayed the surgery and I'm scared. I guess I'm scared it won't work for me or I will be hungry all the time and want to eat and fail at weight loss . Would love some advice on what to do PLEASE!!!

Hi I wanted to know if anyone used Dr. Ren from NYU ? If so how was the experience ?

I was all ready mentally and in the process of getting all my paperwork together for the insurance to hopefully approve surgery . Then, Hurricane Sandy struck and the hospital I worked at got severely flooded . Now, I am out of a job. The only good thing is that I have my husbands insurance to rely on. The bad thing is that the surgeon wants me to meet with a psychologist which is $250.00 cash. To me it's BS the insurance company wants to make sure your not crazy before having this surgery . It's hard to spend that when you don't have your income right now. So, I postponed the surgery and now I'm getting cold feet about proceeding with it. Im also gaining more weight in the meantime being a stressed out mess with no job . I take interest in reading all of the threads of people's weight loss journeys. I would love to hear from somebody that has had the procedure done who can reassure me that I should do it and not to be such a baby !! Thanks Colleen
