  1. I had my surgery on 11/20/12. I have lost about 50 lbs so far. I am happy with the loss. Here is my issue. I am moving into the part of my dirt where all restrictions are off and I'm afraid to eat anything...I don't want to gain and I'm afraid that if I eat I will gain instead of lose. Anyone else have these concerns?
  2. My surgeon actually took my gallbladder out along with my sleeve surgery because having this type of surgery has a higher risk of getting stones. I opted for the removal now instead of waiting for stones and possible surgery later. Good luck with your appt.
  3. Oh I wish I could have done that - I went back to work a week later and it was really rough for a couple weeks.
  4. I was sleeved on November 20th 2012 and I am starting to crave foods other then chicken and fish. I have had so much Soup that I am afraid I will never eat soup again and I have always loved it. I am wondering if anyone else is eating different foods right now? I noticed that some people sound like they are eating almost anything and I am just concerned that it might be too soon for some of those things but I would love to try it. Anyone else from MN that has stepped forward on the diet? Paula
  5. I am doing well, just getting tired of the Soups. I just am really craving some real food but dont want to rush it and ruin anything. I felt like that for a good 4 weeks and now I am really starting to feel better. I am still really tired in the evening and lately have a hard time getting up in the morning but during the day I am good. Are you still at home or did you have to go to work already?

    Who Are You?

My name is Paula and I am 1 month post-op. I am 44 years old and divorced for 6 years. I have two children (boys) ages 16 (17 in a month) and 13. We live in St. Augusta, MN. I work in St. Cloud MN as a Property Manager, Accountant. I really love my job and love being where I am in my life right now. I have a wonderful man that has been my rock and savior since the divorce. My hobbies are old movies, reading, riding motorcycle and camping. We have a permanent camper up North that we visit as much as possible in the summer and try to get there a couple times a month in the winter. My weight has yo-yoed all my life. I came to the conclusion that I could not go on trying myself when I was diagnosed as pre-diabetic. This was on top of my high cholestral and high blood pressure. I was talking to my mother one night and she said "well you are just destined to be fat like the rest of us." (the women on her side are rather heavy) I then decided that "NO I'M NOT" I was going to do something about it. I started looking into the WLS and found that the Sleeve procedure was what i felt was the best fit for me. My goal is to loose 60 lbs but I am really hopping to loose more like 90. I hope to never have to go back to the weight I was and to live a healthier and happy lifestyle. I was reading through the posts and noticed that someone else liked old movies - I love Gone with the Wind, and also anything with Doris Day in. I could sit and watch old movies for ages!
