Don't mother's hold their babies anymore?

JAchut... It seems as though are breasts are similar in their elasticity. My boobs, between nursing my oldest for 15 months and the twins for 20 months, are the most pathetic nasty looking things in the world. They are like an accordian when I lay on my side...they fold into themselves. UGGGHHHH!!! But..my nasty tits are proof that I love my children the most! Rain

But, I must thank you...I've had that song in my head all day...and today, complete with vomit on my shirt from my 4 year old and conjunctivitis in both eyes, I am anything but "one hot mama" Booboo kitty, now she is certainly one hot mama! Don't mother's hold their babies anymore?

Georgia Girl... I'm so nervous about living in a 2 bedroom home with my three kids, but we'll be able to live off of dh's salary alone...and we'll pack away whatever extra money we make (I tutor a few nights a week after they go to bed and he teaches adult ed courses and writes grants). It's stressful...but the girls are all little and we'll hopefully be able to find our way in this tiny house. There is, blessedly, a basement...so we will have a room to use as a playroom thereby eliminating the toys from the whole little tiny house. Any tips to share? Thanks, Rain

Don't mother's hold their babies anymore?

Also a sahm who is neither rich nor on subsidy. My husband is a teacher and we are in the process of selling our very nice home so we can rent a small cottage for a few years. This will ease our monthly bills and allow me to stay home. Please consider what you are saying before you post such judgemental crap! Rain

    I have a complaint!

Denise... My Mil is the same... She lived with us for a while and my girls picked up some bad grammatical habits. I have since retrained them! ex.. Put them bottles in the fridgerator. We stood (instead of stayed) at the party for 2 hours. You don't got no candy? AAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Rain

Don't mother's hold their babies anymore?

I can't say I agree. I have three children ages 4 and a month and 2 and 2 months...The twins are the 2 year olds. Those infant carriers were my life. I am a stay at homer and I am with my children literally ALL DAY LONG!!!...When I was out, I HAD to have those children in their infant carriers. I had no choice. To be honest, at 2 years old, the twins are STILL in strollers when we go out. They barely walk anywhere. And, when they do walk somewhere, the sometimes wear tethers. Feel free to rip into me for that...I will fight it to my dying breath!!! I'll be honest, when I only had one, I tended to use the bjorn instead of the infant carrier. But with the twins, they LIVED in those carseats. Additionally, I nursed all three kids for 15 months and 20 months respectively. I was glad (sometimes) when we were out and I didn't have to have them in my arms. I felt free!!! Rain

    I have a complaint!

An ellipses is the three dots people use in their writing to indicate an omitted word or phrase. I use it almost like a comma or period. I love you for making paragraphs!!! I agree about the school thing...(ellipsis)that's why I don't get irritated on the board when people write poorly. I do, however, have an issue with restaurants etc. who have grammatical or spelling issues on signs outside of their restaurants. Drives me NUTS! Take care, Rain

    I have a complaint!

Oh....but, in essence, isn't that what you just did? I don't think there is any real malice behind the original and subsequent posts. I think it was just getting something off of one's chest. Have a good day and good luck on your journey as well. Rain

    I have a complaint!

English teacher here (real one, not just aspiring!!! ) and I have to say that I couldn't care less how people spell or phrase their sentences on a message board. If a post is littered with misspellings or is so grammatically incorrect I can't understand it, I am apt to hit my back arrow, but it doesn't necessarily bug me. I am also an ellipses user while typing online. It is easier than figuring out commas. How's that for lazy? The things that bug me are colored print, all caps and too many lines in a row without a single break. Oh...and the glitter things at the bottom of the pages are slightly obnoxious as well. Rain

    How normal is this?

Hi ladies, Thanks for the help so far. Julie, I feel like I am going very slowly, but I guess I am not. I think I am at aout 7cc's...not sure though...I know he put about 1.5ccs in. I was NOT losing with my last fill. I lost 6 pounds in 3 months. That's not consistent with the type of loser I am. I tend to lose quickly. I can't eat in the morning, but I'm okay with that... Thanks... Rain

My weight loss is hurting my sister

Snuffy, I can see what your saying...but isn't that the way most people are about everything? I met a new guy, my son has to stay back in school, my tenants are destroying my house etc... It's only natural to want to share the newest adventure in one's life. And, much like it would be incredibly rude to tell the mom whose child is staying back to stop talking about it, it would be just as rude to tell a recent WLS recipient to stop talking about it. That said...it's also rude to tell a pregnant woman about the horrible labor you had, or about a child born with severe disabilities...it feeds her fear...And I guess when a person discusses their weight loss with someone who struggles with their weight and hasn't had a lapband...it sort of feeds their fear. SO...who the heck knows? Rain

My weight loss is hurting my sister

I have a very similar situations occuring with my sister. She is 6 years older than I and I've always been heavier than her. She struggles with her weight, but is "only" overweight. She's never been even close to obese. She out and out said that it is weird for her that I am no longer going to be the fat sister...that we will all be the same or that I will be even smaller. I don't want to hurt her and it has meant that I have stopped talking about my weight loss unless she brings it up. It's not fun...but I certainly don't want to make her feel awful as she has ALWAYS been as sympathetic of me being the only obese person in our family. My younger sister is a totally different body shape and size...Older sister and I are bot 6ft...and little sister is only 5'7" and skinny...So there is no competition there...I get to talk to the younger sister as much as I want...which is lucky for me!!! Best of luck... Rain

    Biggest Loser

I guess I'm the only one who is not bothered by the crying. I often feel the same way after losing 92pounds...It's amazing to me how good I feel and how much more energy I have etc...and I've been at it for 8 months, they have only been there 3 months and their whole lives have changed. It's natural, I would think, to create an enormous bond with people you are making your transformation with. I don't like guys crying, per se...but I can totally understand where they are coming from. Totally. I also disagree about the women vs men thing. I just don't see the reason to want someone to win merely because they have a vag*na. I would love it if a woman won, but only if she won the way the men win...hard work...not because the producers had to change the way the game is played. I'm not saying the women don't work hard, but perhaps the show just needs to get bigger women...we are out there...better casting perhaps... Also, I don't really care if any of them win...because really, they are all flipping phenomenal and are truly winners without the 250,000 bucks. They all have health and their lives. I DO have to agree about the product placement shots..ANNOYING!!! If I hear about Extra gum one more time I might throw something at the television. So...since I'm being so opinionated... Here are my further thoughts! Mark: I really like him...I like his transformation from Fat asshole to skinny nicer person. I applaud him on his AMAZING transformation...and truly wish I had half his drive and determination. He's a winner and will keep his weight off. Roger: He doesn't wow me one way or the other... The pride on three crap is killing me...so cheesy!!! but he looks fabulous---I do think, however, that he will gain a lot of his weight back... Ali: The poor thing is so unattractive...but she is phenomenal. Her body is looking fabulous and her attitude is excellent. I like that she chose to stay Pink to honor her mother...that was super cool. Like Mark, I think she will keep her weight off! Kelly: Is my least favorite...I'd like her to stay there because she needs the most motivation...She certainly will struggle with keeping her weight off. She very often sounds like she feels she is being persecuted and that is a personality that BUGS the heck out of me. So, I guess if I had to pick someone I didn't want to win it would be her. So...that is The Biggest Loser according to Rainer...oh, did you all see Jay's boobs last week...he was bending over and they looked awful...like mine after nursing three kids for almost two years each. OUCH! Rain

    American Idol '08

Well, I cannot stand David Archuletta...his voice is ok, but I have no interest in children who sing...(Charlotte Church, Billy Gilman etc)...They irritate me. David Cook is a good singer...but his affected appearance bugs me. Jason Castro is really good, but I agree there would be no cuddling up next to those dreds...they are nasty. I like Carly's voice, but I think she's boring... But...not as boring as Syesha...That girl is GORGEOUS!!! Her smile is stunning and she'll be better served as an actress. She sings well enough, but it's boring and old. I do like Brooke a lot. The poor thing looks like she's in her 30s...but she sings nicely and has a cool vibe. The Aussie is so handsome and he sings well. But I do want him to sing Waltzing MAthilda at least once!!! :cursing: Notice I didn't mention Krisit lee cook...her immature behavior will get her kicked out next week, so why waste the time? Rain
