    I just did something gross

if you are supposed to be on clear liquids, then what you drank, although possibly satisfying, might very well hurt your band. Follow your doctors orders to a T...it's the easiest way to succeed. Oh, and the hunger pains while on liquids, they happen to everyone...I almost killed my husband while still liquiding... It sucks, but you can do this! Rain
  3. Hello everyone, I am 1.5 months out from my band and I am loving it. However, I was a diehard Cereal fan and I am attempting to keep as many starches as possible out of my diet until I am at goal when I will slowly reintroduce them (If I even care about them by then). My surgeon/nutritionist said a meal for Breakfast...not a Protein shake...but I am at a loss. Is it really healthy to have eggs every day? I've been fluctuating between eggs or yogurt...mostly yogurt--but I don't get a fill until October (because of my insurance) and the yogurt is starting to not satisfy me. Long story short...would you please give me any breakfast ideas? Thank you! Rain
  4. You know the way skinny people sit...where they pull their knees up to their chest and then put their arms around them...I can do it too!!! And...it's really comfy...no wonder the skinny folk like it so much. :blushing: Rain

  6. Hey all, I'm 11 months out and have lost 115lbs. I LOVE my band! I got filled two months or so ago and I have been super tight ever since...Initiallly, I was getting tuck and pbing, but now I am not... I am not, however, able to eat many many things...here's my food intake breakfast: if I can get something down, I have a drink Lunch: if I can get something down, I'll eat a yogurt or a cheesestick Dinner: last night I went out with dh and got a clam chowder and a caesar salad...I ate the broth out of the Soup and 5 bites of salad( like 2 piece of lettuce and a crouton)...oh, and one of dh's scallops. I'm not losing a ton because by the time the end of the night rolls around, I eat ice cream because I want to physically eat... I'm frustrated. I know I am not making great food choices, and I am not sure if having an unfill would help me or not....but...i'm frustrated w/ inability to eat. wwyd rain

To unfill or not to unfill...WWYD?

Hello all!!! Got .8 taken out of the band...half of my last fill. I think it was a good idea as I was eating crap because I knew it would go down...not healthy!!! I can't wait to try and eat a salad... Rain

  11. I was just thinking about this the other day... My weight was 250lbs for years...I was well above it... then...when I went over 300, I figured it was too high to be 50lbs less...so i made it 280... well, I'm now 224...and I have a year until I renew...hopefully I'll be at goal and not have to tell a weight fib! Rain

I posted a link to a photobucket slide show on the before and after pages not knowing that they allow everyone to see ALL of the photos in my account...pictures of my kids etc... I am trying to delete the slide show from my post, but I can't edit the post for some reason...Can you please help me? It is post #1750 on pg 117 in the before and after thread.

    Thank you.

    Cigarrettes anyone???

You are so young...please stop smoking for your own benefit...right now. It will be easier now (not easy...I know!) but easier because you are younger. Both of my parents, my husband's father, my uncle and my grandfather all quit when they were diagnosed with lung cancer. It was too late for all of them. Please seriously consider quitting permanently. My best wishes while you attempt what seems like the impossible. Best of luck! Lorraine
  14. 11 months out!!! 114 lbs down. I love my band! Click on the top photo!

    Curious

Hello, I am 6ft tall and started at 338. I am down 114 lbs in 11 months and currently weigh 224...well, actually, this morning I am 226...but i got my period...so I have to count it as still 224. Right now I am between an 18 and a 14...it depends on the material and brand. I have a very large hunk of skin on the front of my belly...but I had twins (very large twins 9.4 and 8.3lbs) just two and a half years ago..so some of that is probably because of them...stinkers!!! Any other questions, please feel free to ask! Best of luck in your journey!!! Rain

    Breastfeeding with the Band?

I also went through pre-op, surgery, post op and my first fill all while nursing...TWINS!!! I do think, however, you shouldn't get a fill until your baby is eating solids well. Exclusively nursing takes a lot out of you....you need nutrition and calories and fat to produce thick, nutritious milk! Congrats on your baby and nursing. I miss nursing my twins...we stopped at 20 months...one of them kept getting off and saying "Thank you" before running away...it weirded me out! Rain

    Belly Button Qs

go to the doctor and document it...rashes help get tummy tucks paid for. Also, they'll give you a cream that will make it go away! Rain

    Countdown to Onederland!

Hello all, 30lbs to go...well, 31 lbs to enter onederland... There are less than 2 months to my bandiversary...is it possible? I literally cannot imagine what my body will look like at 199lbs... I remember entering the 200s...but I am going to say I was in middle school---I was my height in 7th grade, so it must have been around then. This is so exciting. I feel like a different person. Rainer

    Countdown to Onederland!

Hi sue, Thank you! I am still obese...and still at 230 lbs... That's the beauty of being 6ft tall though---I don't always look like I weigh what I weigh. Thank God for small favors! You are doing so well...an inspiration to us all, for sure! Rainer
