Hello all, I had my first fill today---after 3 months (damn insurance waiting period!!!)... He had me up to 4.6ccs, but took out .10cc because drinking Water was slightly uncomfortable. So---I am at 4.5ccs in my 10cc band. I'm on liquids for the day...but I am STARVING!!! I kind of had the impression that the hunger that I have been experiencing for two months, now would be gone. But it is not. In fact, I feel as though I've eaten more today than I have lately. Is this some sort of sick joke, or meerly happening because there is nothing solid to fill the tummy for a while? Do you suppose I will feel better restriction tomorrow when I make my foray into mushie solids???? It seems rather anti-climatic...I was anticipating a little bit more... Oh, and the fill was done under fluero... In other news...dh had his second fill and is at 10.2...The dr. said life is now going to change for him and he will officially be saying hello to the two hundreds soon. Thank God...he's doing so well, but has been struggling with hunger and feeling the desire to eat too much. Hoping this fill helps fix that for him. Thanks for the answer in advance!!!

This happened to my husband...ate dinner...chicken and broccoli...later on, he had a drink...and oops...there came the dinner...At least 1.5 hours later... Rain

Because I'm feeling great and getting collarbones

I was eating my lunch and I felt the tightness in the back of my throat..waited a little and then took a sip of Water...I could feel it just sitting there...actually intensified the pain a bit...not fun.. Well, anyway...I bent over to pick up one of the THOUSANDS of toys on the floor and the water rushed back into my throat and a little of it got into my mouth.. Ok...yes, that was gross...but it was also really kind of cool. Like an anatomy lesson. Has this happened to you??? Rain

Hello all, Thanks for the warm welcomes. I appreciate being accepted. I had my first fill today and look forward to getting even more weight off.... As for being 6ft...yes...it does have it's own set of issues...but, it's also helped me. Rather than seeing myself as fat, I've always thought of myself as tall...and it's pretty much the first thing I tell people if we are meeting for the first time...It's who I am...whereas my weight as never been who I am...just a symptom!!! :cool: Thank you again! Yes!!! On particularly frustrating days with my kids...I notice a lot of restriction...it's so annoying because I normally feed myself when upset and then even that isn't working for me...which, I suppose, is a good thing since I shouldn't be stress eating... Lorraine

I experience this as well. Not often, in fact my husband seems to have it happen more than I, but often enough. Most of the time it is if I am sitting and my pants waist hits my port...but I've also noticed it bending down to pick up my kids... I think it is relatively normal! Rain

Hello ladies, I don't fit into this thread as I have just had my first fill today...but I would like my husband to come here and join you. He's been banded for 6 months and has been playing with the same 10 pounds for two months or so. He's frustrated with the food he's eating and frustrated by his weight loss (72lbs as of today...) While 72 seems great, he can't get past the number looming in the distance...basically, another 100 pounds. He also set huge goals for himself and is so upset that he is not hitting them. So, I'm going to wish you all luck and hope for you that you find your support on this thread...and I am going to email this to dh (Squale)...as I think it is important to find your niche on the boards....and this may be it!
