Sydney Gal Waiting On Surgery.
mini.mee replied to Kelly with a belly's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Some earplugs in case you have to share a room LOL I packed my bag with clothes etc and to be honest, I slept in hospital gowns while I was there, it was so much easier, ditto to that Puppyphat, when you have a drip trying to thread things over and around just is too much trouble. If I were you I'd keep it to a bare minimum with toiletries, lappy or iPad or phone for entertainment. Slippers and dressing gown. At least you won't have to take any snacks LOL (I thought about that while in hospital and laughed quite a lot about it) -
Where is that simone? I guess of I have to ask it sort of defeats me lol

AussieLady, What were you doing awake at 2:10am? If your answer is exercising, then you are totally excused Lol -

Is it possible you are looking in the wrong places or maybe too hard? You know the old saying about never getting what you want when you try too hard? Relax and enjoy your new outter beauty for a while. Become comfortable with the new you. Stop stressing and chill out. Things will happen when they are meant to, it really does work. PS me being an old married woman would have absolutely no idea where a beautiful slim young lady would find a man either I'm sorry LOL

Hope all goes well for you, almost time now :-)

Revision questions for those who can relate!
mini.mee replied to cyncitygirl's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
Around 7 years I think, I hated hated hated it -
I had a revision three months ago after having the band about 7 years or so The revision was the best decision I ever made. As my band surgeon advised me when I seem him, over 95% of surgeons are removing them as they are too much trouble. They are not a leave on option as I had first thought, one day it will have to come out due to some sort of complication. I lost about 35kg in 6 years (that is absolutely pitiful), the thing failed majorly, I vomited and slimed every day and even after I had all fluid removed, I still had pain every day - no slippage, no problem that they could see, my body just rejected what it was trying to do and mentally this made me very very sick. Today, I can't be happier, having the sleeve is the best decision I have ever made, I am a totally different person. I am happy!

10 year roller coaster. Finally scheduled for revision!

I think we all fear the same. To cut a long story short, what I now believe and tell anyone who is having doubts is: It is going to work! It's not a band! It's totally different! AND If its working for me, it will work for everyone! -
I was a band to sleeve revision in one operation. I had the pain and discomfort you are describing for almost two months. I was les to believe its scar tissue and just takes us that much longer to heal up
